I love winter load orders in theory, the main issue that kills it for me is NPCs still dressing like it's spring year round. It's obnoxious to be dressing for the weather and various gameplay changes only to see a half naked raider behaving like normal.

And it’s worse for me, some raiders and gunners just straight up have no clothes because of nimrout army clothing/armor and settlers can wear nothing but a jacket too

Nuclear winter has a plugin that disables sleeveless clothing and also there is a mod called "Winter Gunner overhaul" that adds winter coats to all Gunners

thunder sounds in snow is not that immersion breaking in Wisconsin and thundersnow is a real thing usually tied to Lake effect snow while it is rare in most parts of the world all bets are off in a nuclear winter

Since you asked, I think your second mic sounds better. Voice is deeper and more clear with less of an echo bouncing off your walls. I've been going through about half a dozen of your videos starting from the AI mods, thanks for taking the time to make these!

Nice, been playing Wasteland 3 and fell in love with the Winterly environment lol so I’ve been trying to overhaul Fallout 4 to be like the W3 environment. You gave me a good starting point, so far I got Gunners and Raiders Winterized but still looking for something for the Minutemen. It’s a little difficult to look for a Winter theme compared to like desert themes lol.

JSRS movement are my footsteps of choice and it has a snow option, pretty cool

just a heads up, theres a texture pack for frozen lakes and rivers to make it look even better. that being said, sometimes the river at sanctuary can have invisible ice, making you look like youre walking on water instead. i havent seen this issue anywhere else on the map, but im just putting this here just in case

Ice pick was great. I had to back out of Polluted climate though just due to the thunder sounds. Simple winter weather did okay for me as far as no snow under the roof.

I've hit download on icepick (Xbox series x) and it downloads to 100%, then doesn't seem to actually save. Just gives me the option to download again ...

So on Xbox does the temperature thing not stay on your screen constantly like you showed? I’ve downloaded the hud framework thing but all I get is a little pop up saying I’m warm. I thought maybe because I started in survival mode that made a difference so I switched it and it was still the same. Thanks in advance

Know any mods that make NPCs wear winter clothing? Thats what I was looking for. Im glad I found your video though. I love your videos, and I was already about to fuck up and use those shitty mods lol

Try Winterized Gunner Replacer and Nuclear Winter's Clothing plugin. Aside from that there is a serious lack of winter clothing replacers, at least drag and drop ones.

First Mic sounds like you are in the toilet (picks up too much room reflections). The second Mic sounds more personal, like you are sitting in front of me and not on the toilet. 🤣

If you are too far away from the Mic it can cause too much room reflections in recording.
