Winter Redfish: On Artificial Lures!  

The winter redfish can be one of the most rewarding fish to catch! These fish commonly can be found in the shallow flats soaking up the warmth of the midday sun. As we worked the flats with artificial lures we could see a large school of fish making their way down the shoreline. These fish were aggressively feeding on baitfish and it didn't take long before we were hooked up! As the sun gets higher and higher in the sky fish commonly can be found in the shadow lines of mangroves and docks. In our area redfish are strictly catch and release.
