Hi Josh, we were with you on your glacier tour. I was the small child in a purple fleece that was always right behind you on Sunday. Sincerely, Frances
A good solo job Josh with some spectacular waterfall drone footage 👌 I love this area of Iceland 💙 Glad you were safe as some places looked slippery! Take care 🤗
Another wonderful vlog man 🇮🇸❄️❤️ Was only at many of these destinations a few days ago. The Waterfalls were flowing fast and heavy with water. Alongside the East of Iceland, Snaelfessness is my favourite area of Iceland. Although I haven’t been to The Highlands or West Fjords yet which are definitely on my bucket list.
Glad you enjoyed it back here once again! I'm yet to fully explore the Westfjords either, but it's on the list. Hopefully in the summer I can get out there and film!
So cool to see everything with snow and ice. I was there last September. Did you see the murals in Hellisandur? One of my favourite things I did on Snæfellsnes was drive off road around Snæfelljökull. I did have dense fog on the top from Olafsvik to Arnarstapi. It was an unforgettable journey. Going up to the waterfalls is something I'll keep in mind for next trip. I only saw Kirkjufoss and Svöðufoss up close.
I was in fact going to add the murals of Hellisandur into the video but unfortunately the weather during the time I was there didn't allow for it! I guess I'll have to add it to the 3rd episode :) Indeed - the drive up and around Snæfellsjökull is nothing short of breathtaking. Cannot recommend it enough!
Thank you! Yes I was travelling solo during this video, it can be dangerous but luckily there is decent cellphone coverage over most of the island so you're never too far away from help.
This was filmed in early January, we had a cold spell during this time. If you're lucky and it's cold enough, you can get snowy mountains in early December!
No I don't think proper crampons would be needed, but it doesn't hurt to bring along a cheap pair of microspikes to give your shoes a little extra grip if it's icy.
