It is often cloudy and raining in St. Petersburg. In the Russian Empire, there was a ban on the dark exterior of houses. It was necessary to paint the houses with bright and light colors, otherwise it was a fine. One rich merchant (seller) made a black mansion and every year paid a fine, but this is to stand out among the bright and bright buildings. Multi-colored houses are so common in the North and in Holland and in Scandinavia, so that there is no depression and suicides in the winter.
Glad you liked my home town :) A cultural capital of Russia! It also used to be a capital city for almost 2 centuries. Btw, Montreal is great, you just think it sucks! Both cities are great, but in completely different areas. To be fair, I never hated saint Petersburg, though. I've been all over the would, but I still love St-P the most. Let me know if you would ever need a tour around the city, I know the history and I know the language :)
Bro you're sooo freaking lucky to live in Europe omg. And trust me, every immigrant who has lived in Montreal long enough thinks it sucks and want to get out of here too haha.
@@IntricatelyRandomAsian Well, if only Russia was a part of European Union, rather than a part of the European continent :) Each country has its perks and drawbacks, it's all about finding the right balance
Hehe St Petersburg really looks like this in winter... sometimes. And of course in spring and autumn it's mostly rainy and cloudy. Some even call it "Bolotinsk" which means "Swamptown". There are really many tourists, which I especially hate. Trust me, I live here.
Monica Lockman, an Irish ballerina every year takes her students to St. Petersburg for training and training, said: "Every year I come to St. Petersburg, I ask myself. Why do not I live here?" The best city in Europe, it never sleeps, has fun for 24 hours :) A tall building, this is the "Lakhta Center", the tallest building in Europe. I wish you to visit this city. The best time when the "White Nights" and the "School Graduates" holiday begin. Thank you for the video. Liked. Especially the dress presentation .. you know how to laugh and entertain :) :). It suits you very much .. makes you slim and very attractive. You are very beautiful and smart. A rare combination for girls :))))

I love Peter very much. He studied at a tank training near St. Petersburg, in the winter of 1990-1991 at Sertolovo-2 during his military service. Then, he studied at the University on Vasilievsky Island 1997-2002 SPbUU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. Relatives live in this city, we go to visit them. The city is wonderful! I even wanted to move there to live. Alas, it didn't work out. Moved from the European North (Arkhangelsk region) to the near Moscow region. And the dress is beautiful, so minimalistically summer. And you have a wonderful figure. The pigtails are cool. My wife and daughter have now switched to short haircuts, it is more convenient in our rhythm of life. And the fact that someone scolds and puts disas. Don't pay any attention. Good luck! By the way, don't be surprised by temporary breaks. I served in the Northern Fleet 1990-1992. But I served in the Marine Corps in a tank battalion. There is such a village "Sputnik" in the Murmansk region, I served there after the training unit near St. Petersburg. After a deadline, in 1993, I started working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Four years later, I managed to enter the University for a higher legal education. I retired from the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a lieutenant colonel and worked as a forensic expert.
@@IntricatelyRandomAsian I didn’t say any compliments. He said as I see. Compliments are when you lie to make you feel good.
These pillars are called Rostral columns - architectural structures in the center of St. Petersburg, on the spit of Vasilievsky island. In the XIX century, they served as lanterns of the port of the capital. Two Rostral columns were built in 1805 - 1810 by the French architect Thomas de Thomon, who decorated them with ship rosters on both sides of Vasilievsky island. This personification shows the power and greatness of the state's Navy, and also refers to the ancient Roman custom of decorating columns with rostra (lat. rostra, plural of lat. rostrum, the nose of the ship) of defeated (captured) enemy ships. The opening took place in 1815. The lanterns were lit at night and in fog and served until 1885.
Well, with your love to bridges you really should visit St.Petersburg... there is a bunch of bridges! You will got tired to filming them all because this city is russian Venecia =))
St. Petersburg is a very famous city. The historic city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. And many tourists go to St. Petersburg and not to Moscow. It's strange that you haven't heard of him.
10:43 one Korean said that Russia has more variations of Asian food than Korea lol, Russia is heavily influenced by Asian cultures, and sushi is the most popular delivery food, above pizza and such, and Russian sushi market even much more varied than Japanese one.
SPB is probably the only big city in Russia, where whole center is subtitled in 3 languages: Russian , English and Mandarin. Also SBP has The Biggest 5-floored Chinese restaurant 'Цинь' in whole Europe!
Also Saint Petersburg has one of the biggest fine arts museums in the world. It calls "Hermitage" and in Europe only Louvre bigger. Sad fact: During WW2 Saint Petersburg (Leningrad in this time) was sieged for 872 days (longest siege in world history) but didnt capitulate. Darkest times in Petersburg history.
the architecture is not entirely Russian. There are very old buildings. most likely we just found the remnants of a previous civilization and completed the city on its basis :D. I lived there for a year. a lot of occult or strange places.griffins tower for example ..., Rotonda (гороховая, 57) its fckng religious scary like first orgasm, digging that masonic shit and explore that places inside..adult version gravity falls without visible monsters:
Hi! If you like bridges, then St. Petersburg is definitely the city for you to visit. Bridges for every taste))) short, long, modern, old, with statues, drawbridges and many more😂😂😂

So you say that you like bridges and have never been to Saint Petersburg? :) The city downtown is basically all about bridges, islands and canals. Its even often called the Russian Venice (not sure if its a compliment bc Saint Petersburg is like 10 times more beautiful and fabulous). Thats the former capital of Russian Empire with a lot of palaces, museums etc too. It is also one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. You should definitely pay a visit 😉

Your videos just keep popping up in my feed, probably because I commented on the "stiff and cringe af dance moves" on some Russian hip-hop vid that you commented on. Anyway, your fascination with columns fascinates me (double-fascination). I take it you're Canadian, right, and I just casually wonder if they put you through all that ancient Greek stuff in middle-school, as they did here in Sweden? I mean, columns, Ionian style, Dorian style, Corinthian style, all of that?
@@IntricatelyRandomAsian Ha! Too funny. So can you tell a corinthian column from an ionian one? Gotta admit, I can't from the top of my head. Anyway, it's a bit overkill, columns are cool and that's it. Have a great evening, not gonna bother you more. :)

We call such buildings well-house. Montreal simply new city. In modern part of St.Petersburg there are same gray boring buildins. In video you look to historical center builded in 17xx P.S. And never go to St.Petersburg in winter. It only looks cool and beaty but strong wind with -20c or even less - its disaster.
5:51 > Woooow Locals of Питер don't like this building actually. They say, it's kinda ruining the whole picture. Which is why they are calling your "Woooow" the "ГазПромЧлен" (GasPromDick) in "honor" of a company that built it, ГазПром (GasProm). ;-)
Intricately Random Asian, hi. I'm so sorry. I don't know your real name. React please to winter Baikal Lake. Its a deepest lake on Earth planet. This lake being on russian territory.
Most Russian cities are also boring and gray. Only old ones has nice historical buildings and somehow back in a day people care about facades of what they built. But since late soviet times they make just ugly gray boxes ugh
Buildings built in the past 15 years have had a lot of variety. The Soviet Union built the ugly gray boxes because it was cheap and they needed them built fast and efficiently. and since law required buildings over 5 stories to have an elevator, they mostly built not so tall buildings.
> Hopefully, in the future I'll just have chance to go to St. Petersburg A little advice: take your boyfriend with you, get a room in the good hotel but don't spend there a single night. Just wander around at night, listen to the street musicians, hang out at bars (Питер has awesome bars) and make love at the best date hotels. ;-) That'll be an experience yoiu'll never forget.)
