RIP OSCAR. Glad you packed the sleeping mat. Banging sausages, love hearing them sizzling in the pan. The sunrise was spectacular, timelapse top notch. Cracking camp lads and awesome video as always. ATB Dan 👍 👍 👍 👍
Cheers Dan, awesome camp, awesome sunrise can’t beat sausages as well 😁 and the snow was great but jeez it was cold, if Simon had forgotten his sleeping pad we would have gone home lol, but he didn’t and it turned ok, thanks for watching mate and look forward to more of your vids as well ATB Mark & Simon 👍👌
Guys camping in the snow and subzero conditions brings a new element to the video. I think it's the contrast in colours. Some great photography on display. It's a bugger when one has to get out of a cosy warm sleeping bag into the cold. Losing a pet is as bad as losing a member of the the family, the pain is awful. I've never understood within evolution why dogs life expectancy is so short, when other mammals live that much longer. I feel your pain Simon but Oscar will never be forgotten and always in your thoughts. Take it easy atb Taff 🤠👊👊
Cheers Taff, you are right some great colours the sunrise was quite surprising as we weren’t expecting it but it was an awesome sight. Oscar was a lovely dog and it takes a while to get over it they are a part of the family. Cheers Mark & Simon.
Thanks Neil, really appreciate the comment and thanks again for watching our vids means a lot, it’s like I said on the film the sunrise was awesome and it looked good on camera but being there it looked so much better, thanks again for watching 👍👌
Hi fella’s. I knew before even watching that it would look amazing and sure enough it was breathtaking from start to finish. A beautiful but sad account of the passing of Oscar Simon… I had a springer spaniel when I lived in Wales and they’re wonderful dogs so I feel you’re pain. Thanks again for sharing.. btw Mark the MSR Access in that colour plus the sunrise and the snow… yeah need I say more. Take care both, ATB Mark
Cheers Mark, the orange MSR and the snow what a combination that’s one of the reasons I bought it, looks awesome in photos 😁 looking forward to more winter camps if we get anymore snow 🤞🤞glad you enjoyed it, Springers are lovely dogs and he had a good life and he will be sadly missed that’s for sure 🥲🥲
Thank you very much, glad you liked it awesome place for a camp and hardly saw a soul apart from two walkers about a mile away in the distance, can’t beat a beat a bit of snow and a sunrise 🌅 ATB Mark & Simon.😁
Really good to see you out again, boys. I'm glad you were able to get out there as soon as the good weather arrived as well! What a blinder of a sunrise!! 😍 Sleep tight, Oscar dog ❤️ ATB, James.
Top work fellas. You're right, cameras never do sunsets and sunrises justice but you did a great job of capturing it. They stay with you days like those. There's also something about an orange tent glowed up against the snow, think it looked amazing! Oscar sounded like amazing dog and I'm sure he was there with you on that trip, making sure you got the sunrise you did. Great work fellas, I look forward to the next one. ATB. Martin.
Thanks for watching Martin 👍 it was an awesome camp and the snow makes everything look spectacular it’s an awesome experience snow camping and we are hoping for another one this winter. Yeah Oscar was definitely with us up there and he will never be forgotten. We couldn’t believe the sunrise as it made the perfect ending to a perfect camp. ATB Simon & Mark
I’m sorry to hear about Oscar, very sad news but 13 years of friendship is incredible, I’m sure there’s many happy memories. Lovely wintery landscape, chilly thou. Good set up, looks warm enough too.
Hi Rachel thanks for watching and commenting on the video, had 13 years of great memories with Oscar he was an awesome companion. It was an awesome winter and loved every minute of it. Thanks Simon & Mark
Sorry to hear about ur dog m8. I dunno what I’d do without mine❤️definitely halfto organise a trip soon 100 percent. Your destinations are wicked. What a sunrise in this video 🤝
Thanks for watching as always Dave, Oscar was a lovely dog and the area we camped on, my caravan is not far from there and we have been walking those hills around there for years with him and lots of great memories and lots of memories of him, he is missed for sure. We hope you have a great camping year too, ATB Simon & Mark
Thanks Dave, it was a great day/night out it just goes so quick very enjoyable in the snow, we didn’t want to go home lol 😫😫 the sunrise and tent pics looked good - wasn’t expecting that sunrise tbh but glad we got one, got loads of stuff coming up camping wise including 5 days in Switzerland doing a couple of sections of the Via Alpina Pass, we need to get fit first 😁👌👍
What an awesome camp and sunrise guys, you certainly picked a great night to be out. I was in the Brecon Beacons on the Sunday and was glad that the snow was still there. Very sorry to hear about Oscar, you made a moving tribute to him.
Thanks for watching John and your kind words, the hills and mountains look so awesome covered in snow it looks so awesome on camera. Was a very enjoyable camp 👍 ATB Simon & Mark
Cheers Scott, glad you enjoyed it 😁 it was cold lol we have camped in -7 before but although this was less cold it just felt colder if that makes sense it was bitter in fact 🥶my hands were shaking holding the camera 😂😂thank god for GoPro stabilisation 😂😂
Wow, wow, wowza!! What a sunrise and what a camp! One of the best ones yet I reckon! :-) I was up in the Beacons last weekend which was lovely. That spot there looks good, might need to pay it a visit :-) Nice to see you out and about again!
Cheers Lloyd we loved it up there, awesome sunrise which is always a bonus don’t always get them, lovely are for a hike and wild camp you can walk for miles and not see anyone 😁. Where did you go in the Beacons? Nice to meet you in Cardiff City Centre over Christmas as well ATB Mark & Simon 👍🏴👌
@Twin Peaks Wild Camping hi both, It's lovely on the quieter routes isn't it. I parked up by Fan Llia then went to fan frynach but it was a bit windy and I opted for comfort so pitched up in the valley by Craig Cerrig Gleisiad which was beautiful. Got stuck in the car park though with all the snow and was on my hands and knees trying to dig a path with my boys beach spade until a farmer came and gave me a tow! All fun though! Here's to more snow soon :-)
Awesome vid guys I love your channel you go to places hardly any one else goes you don’t have to be at 3000ft to get great views so sorry for the loss of your dog
Thanks for watching Dave and your very kind words. It was a great camp in a great location. Lots of places don’t get seen on RU-vid and it’s nice to share them 👍 ATB Simon & Mark
love the access 1 tent, if your struggling with the gopro batteries try a hand warmer in a small drybag they usually keep them jsut warm enough for 24 - 48 hours :D new subscriber here
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors I think that is a wonderful idea. I had a lab who loved it up there and around the FF 🏕️and I always regretted not doing that with her. He will be definetly running free there.
Nice to come across your channel boys 😃 I was up Moel Siabod this winter, I loved it, I would quite happily live in snow blanketed scenery ❤ lets hope for more winter adventures this year
Thanks for stopping by the channel 👍and thanks for watching. It’s a great mountain Siabod we would love to go up there in the snow it’s an awesome place 👍
Thanks for watching Gareth it was an epic camp. Oscar was an awesome dog and we will never forget him 👍 I have still got your boots mate, need to meet up soon 👍 take care pal
Cheers Chris 👍 we both wanted a 1 man tent with decent head height, lightweight a decent size vestibule and enough space in the inner tent , the Access 1 ticks all the boxes for us and the quality of the tent is superior to the Scarp 1 so well happy with it 👌👍
Hi Chris thanks for watching the video 👍 we think the access 1 is a great size and well made 1 person. Probably better quality than the scarp 1 we used to have but we haven’t tested these tents in all conditions yet but so far so good 👍 yeah we really like the space and the height of them, very practical. ATB Simon & Mark
