I thought the same, started on an old Fuji adventure, then I sold that for $200 and had another $200 to spare and got a Marin Eldridge. Sold that for $350 and had $350 to spare and got a diamond syncr for $700(got lucky). Sold that for $1000 and got lucky again and found a polygon siskiu d7 for $950. Put tires, grips, and a cool wrap and sold that for $1200, then found a siskiu t7 with a marzzochi bomber z2 fork for $1240, sold it for $1450.. that was over the course of under 2 years, had a little money saved up and found a 2022 marin alpine trail xr for $1900 which im currently trying to sell.
Nah, that's all aftermarket suspension, wheelset, and I think dropper. Stock, it does have a pretty decent kit, though, with good suntour suspension and a decent/meh wheel set. Edit: I forgot to mention brakes. I think it comes with shimano brakes stock. It's been a while since I last looked at it
Yeah stock is shimano SLX brakes. The Suntour suspension has been better than expected. Suntour triair 2 on the frame and aion on the fork. No reason for me to upgrade yet. Not that advanced to really notice yet.
