We must have missed the wind got there around the 25th of Jan. Hiked a part of Golden Canyon, drove Artist Palette but no hiking there and started hiking walking out on Salt Water Basin Flats, but didn't want to walk all the way out there. From Dante's View you can see the valley is so much wider than seeing it from ground level. One of the funnest things we did was drive the 20 Mule Team trail, my husband drove a bit fast and it was truly like Mr Toads' wild ride at Disneyland, glad we made it okay, he did slow down after the first surprise dip. Death Valley is truly a magical place. Thanks for sharing your adventure. look forward to seeing more!
Iv never been to Death Valley but it is on my bucket list. Most def keeping this video for when I go. Great idea and no going durning the hot heat during the summer. I like the hip-pack-Fanny-pack style!
I loved the desolate feeling you get in DV, seeing just flat land go on for miles without a tree in site, and just a single car passing by every now and then. I guess I was also turned off by it being the hottest place on earth and never went there until lately, and wow was it a unique experience in the winter.
So great to see you guys on the road again. We were in Death Valley once and at 115 we decided to go somewhere a bit cooler. If you get a chance head over near Lone Pine and see where they filmed some old western movies. Keep the videos coming. Our new Transit van is scheduled to be built Feb 7 and then we start our build to live a life you are enjoying.
