Thanks for the info. We are going to try it out. I remember some years ago having those 100 plus white bass days below the lake Livingston dam. They are a lot of fun to catch.
Anytime. That’s awesome! I’ve actually never fished below the dam but eventually I’m going to. That’s place is amazing for whites and catfish. Yes they are. I definitely enjoy it.
Great memories up the East fork in the early spring. I raised my kids there too doing the same thing before being relocated to DFW. Glad to see it’s still pumping them out like that. Fun black bass lake too. Just not much size. Thx for posting
That’s awesome!!! It’s so pretty in the east fork. So around 2009 the lake record white bass came out of my boat. A kid caught it. It stood for a while but eventually got beat. To my knowledge the kid still has the jr record. I agree on the blacks. I’ll have two more videos coming up soon! Another white bass video and a black bass video. You bet! Thanks for watching.
It’s a fun place. It’s pretty shallow for the most part. There is a boat ramp in Luces called ponderosa. It’s $7 to launch. There is also Bjs in the east fork and the other two nice ramps on the lake are further south. One is the 1960 ramp and the other is Deussen park. The lower end of the lake is easier to navigate. It’s a lot deeper.
Nice. Yeah it’s a great spot for small keepers and dinks. Yeah that’s the crappy part. I try to fish it only on week days. I did have some jerk crab fisherman literally idle though where I was casting. I was a little pissed! He and the whole lake to go around and didn’t. I almost gave him a prop full of braid.
