I don't know how many times I've watch this video but norway is just soooo beautiful, honestly, I've never known about Norway before I found your channel, everything there looks cozy(which I love the most) the style of hotel, restaurants and landscapes, is just everything looks cozy and beautiful even in summer. I’m Filipina but have lived in Canada for 30+ years. I didn’t like the cold but now I’ve learned to love it. It’s gorgeous when there’s fresh new snow and winter sports are so fun. The trick is to wear the proper gear when it’s below zero degrees ie. good quality jacket, scarf, warm boots, hats and gloves (Ave, noticed you’re not wearing any). My family snowboard and skis which we love but this can get expensive. Tobogganing and skating is a cheap way to have fun! If you can’t beat the cold, join it! The best part is when you’re done spending time out in the cold, you get inside your home or a chalet and get warm/cozy in front of a fireplace and have some hot cocoa 🔥 or coffee ☕️.
This was a nice reminder when I lived up north. The cold is beautiful when looking at it thru pictures and videos. But being in it, the reality is the cold just bites thru the beauty. Its much better to just look at it. Glad to have experianced it, but I prefer the warmth.

I think the cloudiness of the water is from the chlorine added to the water to make it safe. I personally filter the water from the tap before I drink it .
First of all I would like to say that you look fabulous, your skin is glowing and look younger that’s what the cold weather does to your complexion. That’s a nice way to spend a weekend in the mountains where everything is pure winter wonderland. You need some gloves. Wow that electric charged was so expensive, here in Canada is way cheaper than that. Martin is a gentleman you’re blessed to have one. Enjoy your Christmas with the whole family. I just watched a vlog showing 8 Miles from Home who are suffering from lack of water, food supplies and no communications, somebody just shared their appeal for help for the people down south devastated from typhoon Odette. According to friends here in Norway, we're supposed to put the tap at the coldest setting then let it run for some seconds before we take water for drinking. Usually, the cloudiness clears up after some seconds in the glass/mug. The cloudiness you saw could be from the tap itself or the glass--best not to drink cloudy water. ☺️ Also, dahil praning kami, we also sometimes boil the tap water before we drink it ☺️ Pinoy tayo eh. 😅
Don't drink tap water anywhere, no matter what the locals say, side on caution. Even in Switzerland where water is more expensive than wine, we never dared. Enjoy the winter & stay warm always.

I was able to walk on a probably about 6 or 7 feet of snow in March 6th this year when we went to Mount Lasssin Volcanic Park. I just thought that it.was kind of therapeautic especially to my knee. The pain went away when we got home...

ha det bra Ave & Martin ; ) I love winters in Norway, it's really different from the rest that i've been too of course minus the cold. The cold in Norway is until your bones cold. I wear many clothes there compare here in Toronto but there's part of Canada that for sure like Norway the like Yukon province & others, good thing i live here. it is cold but it i s not bad. Ah!!! nostalgia moment here Ave. TMI, In Norway, it is where I learn to say thank you a lot. Takk or Tusen Takk or Thank you is part of daily conversation & yeah Norwegians clean or help after themselves especially when they are in winter resorts or hotels like the hotel you were stayed because there is no help i mean people to help you & for me that's admirable being a foreign living there. I miss the water from the tap & it is only in Norway, no where else in the world. Just let the water run for quite sometime so you don't get the cloudiness. The water there is safe & very clean.

Hei Ave, maybe you didn’t run the faucet until it is really cold. It is cloudy when the water is either hot or warm. It is really safe to drink tap water in Norway. It’s the best tasting water I ever had. Nothing compares to Norwegian tap water😄

Hi Ave !your fur coat is really elegant but i think if you,re on a weekend in the deep snowy place it,s more practical if you use a light thermo parka jacket you cannot feel the wind complete with warm hand-gloves and matching head caps?? and thermo boots..You will enjoy walking in the snow, comfy for the body and much more healthier..
Ave and Martin, see to it when you both drive back to Oslo of the roads precautions, coz it might be close due to hard snowfall. See to it that your car is full charge coz electric cars used more power during hard winter. It's a long way hour to drive, but the charger in Viken can be found in every gas station or grocery store, and school. Good luck

From Canada 🇨🇦! We can drink from the tap too, but it shouldn't be cloudy. The only way there may be residue is if they use a water thinner, but even so- it shouldn't appear. Perhaps residue from the tap itself? Love seeing you guys back in Norway!!☺
Also - to avoid layers, might be good to invest in a coat/parka that can take the cold! Sometimes when it's around -40 C here for example, I just wear a shirt or a long sleeve under my coat and I'm good lol. 😅 So perfect for indoor/outdoor transition!
