Wintergatan - Marble Machine REACTION! (music instrument using 2000 marbles) 

Yep, Martin from Wintergatan did the machine himself. He's actually building a new one called MarbleMachine X, and it's been almost 2 years now, and it's still not done. But he really enjoys doing it. Great reaction nevertheless.

This machine was the prototype and only played once. I've been following Martin every Wednesday for the past 3yrs now watching him make The Marble Machine X. So close yet so far to finishing it. I can't wait for that day! but also dont want the journey to end.

That music video took just over 3 months to make because this machine had a few problems

Funny thing, the guy there apparently just found some schematics for gears and thought "Hey, I can make music with that!"

It's authentic, but he says himself that it's far from good enough to give a live concert. So that's why he is building the improved the Marble Machine X, which will be good enough to go on a live worldtour. Main problem with this first machine is that it actually lost alot of marbles on the floor and also that it broke down every now and then. Still an awesome piece of art! :D

Cardboard was also used to make that 1st machine. Check out Wintergatan Wednesdays to see the machine he is building for a world tour. He calls it MMX and it's made out of plywood, and different metals, and will be able to be taken apart to travel.

And he is Swedish. 😁👍😎

I know this is over a year later, but you guys should see the new version! It's not yet complete, but it's close, and it's 10x better than the one in this video!

After being so used to seeing the engineering marvel that is MarbleMachine X, seeing this machine makes me wonder how it is even holding together. Compared to the new machine, this machine is... like almost falling apart. To put it bluntly, compared to the new machine, this machine shown on this video is just a piece of junk... that somehow still manages to defy the laws of nature and play great music. That in itself is a kind of marvel.

I also love that video, what an artist! I like how varied the videos are that you guys react to! ❤ Have you guys ever reacted to the Panic! Vintergatan is the Swedish name for Milky way

What's really insane is how this machine was a one time use, where after this, he admits he couldn't really use it again.

Nice to see MM getting some attention. Even with over one million subs Wintergatan channel got. I hardly see people talking about Marble Machine or even Marble Machine X..

I was going to say I am currently just saw this and ironically I've been watching the marble machine X which is his second version that is much more highly integrated and he upgrades that he is done magnificently Outkast that machine in such a way shape and form that if you would go into his RU-vid now for the marble machine X it would merely blow you away how much not just engineering but design he's put inside of the second machine to merely outperform and beat his first one hands-down is insane

Marblemashine 1 was outstanding!!! ❤️❤️❤️ No 2: Overloaded with technique, electronics, computer, loudspeakers, pickups, metal + people. Now it is exchangable + booring! 1 vs 2: Like „Jaws“ by Spielberg or „Rocky“ My Korg Kronos sounds better!!!
