I must say that, it is a joy to watch a video made by British tourists or residents in Spain , talking about something different than bars, partying and (no offense) drinking alcohol. This country has much more to offer, and frankly deserves better. Your videos show respect for the culture, and appreciation for the beauty of the places you visit. Than you.

That's true Paul , there is a statue of Dickie Bird in Barnsley that reminded me of this statue. Dickie has his finger up to signify 'out' and at this time of year some always put a Christmas Bauble on his finger . 😂 Thanks very much for watching have a great Christmas best wishes Helen and Martin

Lovely place and amazing Church. We had a moment of seeing all life in Paris when Lindsay picked the brightly lit street instead of the normally lit street heading from Sacre Coeur towards our hotel LOL.

Always think its such a pity you can’t take your dog on public transport in Spain. As their trains are so efficient and cheap too. Great vid , really enjoyed seeing these different places in the winter.

@@helenandmartinsTreks If you do some research, you´ll find you can take your dog with you everywhere IF the dog is less than 10 Kg AND goes inside a pet carrier. And it´s been like that for as long as I can remember, and I´m from Spain... However, if the dog is bigger, it´s generally not accepted, unless it is a service dog. Ultimately, every city has its own particular set of rules on which sizes, carrier or not, etc., so if you´re particularly interested in a certain place, just check the town/city council website. It´s not ideal, but it is what it is... Have a great stay, guys, Best!
@@1650million Thanks for your response , we were aware of this detail, in fact I covered it in the first few minutes of the video - it's not an option for us sadly with our dog . We love Spain and we love it's people , we have spent six months in the country this year alone travelling all around it , North , South , East and West , so this isn't something that puts us off, it's a great Country. @@helenandmartinsTreks I missed the part when you spoke about that, that´s why I wrote what I wrote. Sorry about that. I just don´t know how you consider the size or the carrier unusual or limiting, though. Does your country allow German Shepherds to go on a bus at peak time, when people are packed like standing sardines in a can? Because that sounds like a recipe for disaster to me, both for the passengers, and the dog. Anyway, not trying to be defensive, just trying to say there has to be some kind of limitation, or it could go easily awry. With some people, you can´t even trust the owner... ;P And glad to see you like Spain: far from a perfect country, but farthest from the worst... :D Best!
@@1650million Yes well behaved dogs of all sizes are allowed generally but I wouldn't want to start comparing our trams/trains to yours, let me tell you Spain is streets ahead in public transport terms a much better service overall. Have a great Christmas 🙏.
Good morning Ian , the aires in Spain are varied to be honest some are very good and others are ok for an overnight stop. The good thing is there are plenty of good sites to fill in the gaps. We use three apps in order of preference Camper Contact (90% of the time) , Park for Nights and Search for Sites . The latter we don't find as good as in the UK. Aires in Spain are generally fine but not on a level of France., Germany , Austria or Holland yet , but they are getting better. This year Camping Car Parks have just bought their first Aire in Spain and two in Portugal , they are a private Aire company with. large network in France and we use them a lot so watch this space as they say. @@helenandmartinsTreks thank you both for your response. I have a couple of those already downloaded but strangely never used them as yet. My camper thankfully has excellent Lithuum battery which I am sure will be more than enough to give us the power we need but in case we use EHU, I note in one of your vids you made a good point of using your polarity socket to check the supply. For me, that was an excellent tip. So, how do you get around the issue when abroad, the EHU does have reverse polarity? Also, will be ising my phone mainly for google maps and the occasional youtube vids for research into travellers who have visited (like yourseslves) places we have earmarked to visit. Would you recommend buying a sim card from the country visited or buying a roaming package from UK provider? Sincere apologies for these seemingly inane questions but as its the first time abroad in my camper, just want to ensure I am fully prepared!
