Cheers guys , it's worth a visit and wasn't too busy mid week. It's worth finding a park up on the tram route and taking the tram in, or stay at the Aire here ///ribcage.mafias.diplomacy and visit Benidorm on bike and foot and catch the tram to Alicante from here if your minded to visit Benidorm , or as we did stay in Villajoyosa which is a brilliant place between the two. 😂😂😂. Thanks for watching.
Hi Alicante is lovely , I could sit on the bar on the harbour all day and watch the world go by in this amazing place. We love it and it's a great rail hub - we caught the train there to both Valencia for the Fallas Festival and the fast train to Madrid in previous years. Thanks for watching , seasons greetings Helen and Martin
Great to see how good the public transport is there. I love a good tram (but only in the absence of a train). Also love the different use of your voice. Your factual narration voice is very different to your talking to the camera voice. This kept my engagement up by moving me the viewer from past Tense retrospective story telling to back into the moment and the present tense. I think this dynamic is a great one to explore.
Thanks Roger , the history of this place is amazing , I could wax lyrical about it. It's a great place if you like history and as you know we do 😂. Thanks for watching , best wishes Helen and Martin,
This was interesting. We’ve taken the bus from the airport to Benidorm. We didn’t know about this, we’ll definitely check this out next time we’re that way. Alicante looks beautiful - we definitely want to check this out. Thanks for the tour. We enjoyed the history too. Cheers 🍻
Thanks Martin, great photography and really useful informative as we are planning on travelling to these areas next year. Have you any useful information on insurance policies for your home in the UK and also the van/breakdown abroad for such long trips as most only seem to cover 60 days? Cheers and enjoy the rest of your trip.
Hi Paul thanks for watching , we use the Caravan and Motorhome Club Home Insurance and their Red Pennant Travel Insurance . There are cheaper , but when I did my research I discounted opinions on any company where the policy holder recommending had not claimed. People claiming on the Clubs insurance seemed to very satisfied with the service , so that's the way we went. Thankfully we have not had to claim on either policy , we took the advice though of people who had. Their cover is for 90 days on the house insurance and there are multiple options on the travel insurance. The Camping and Caravan Club used to do a 180 days insurance policy, which is also well recommended and we have used pre Brexit when we could travel for longer , but we do find the CMC less clunky to deal with. Hope that helps best wishes in your travels Helen and Martin.
@@helenandmartinsTreksthanks, that is supper helpful, I was planning to ring the CMC tomorrow anyway as the van insurance is with them and due for renewal but I had never thought of asking them about the house insurance! You should be on commission.😊
Hi thanks for joining us , there ones in Madrid and Barcelona - but we tend not to drive into the Cities preferring to park up and travel in by public transport. More are on the way though , all cities with a Population of over 50,000 are supposed to have one by 2023. Best to check City by City I think. Enjoy your travels best wises Helen and Martin. Hi Helen here, thanks for watching , you needn’t worry Martin is more than considerate when sharing the domestic chores , but I like to spring clean and when travelling for an extended period and find it easier to do it in an empty van. On goes the ABBA music and off I go , I find it very therapeutic. He has no choice , he’s booted out 😂😂😂. Best wishes Helen and Martin.
