In the last replay there is the wrong Rank by 1 Division on the screen, but the score is correct, so don't worry! Rather guess in Harstem vs the World: bit.ly/3DRq23a And send us YOUR replay: forms.gle/iWyLp7X8dqCLgWT1A
I really want to inform you about the fact that mmr between opponents can differ a hella lot and you keep talking about what the ‘opponent’ is doing. I advise you to only look at the player you actually have to guess the rank of
Just wanted to let you know, according to starstat, this is the 999th video on your channel. Maybe do something celebratory for the 1000th video? Perhaps another goat petting video? Maybe instead of a chocolate shoe, eat some of that green curry on cam?
How come the division ranking is wrong but the score is correct? Winter scored 3 and Harstem Scored 3 yet Winter was off by 1 rank and Harstem was off by 2 ranks; surely Winter should score 2 and so score 15 total?
NA diamond viewer: "I'm going to send in this replay where I played so well so everyone will see that NA is an hard server." Harstem and Winter: "This is gold league"
The cannon rusher might be me lol. I main Z and T and only screw around when I play P and that looks like how I’d just eff around lol. I haven’t played 1 actually serious game as protoss and somehow the game placed me in D3. I’m D1 with Terran and Zerg. My name is Darknight, in case hamster wants to confirm so Winter and Harstem can flame me lol
"the realization that you can snipe overlords puts you in diamond", I can't believe how badly Harstem thinks of the Metal leagues.. That's something most silver players realize I think
European & Pizza? Could only be Reynor. The one who complains about other non-italian making pizza ... like Scarlett 😂 The hint of Hamster that stim got bain-bust was nice. Letting them complaining instead of speeding up their talk about the bad guess, kinda boooring.
Idk why harstem accepting bad games replay, I myself M2 random and sometimes I play like metal league player, & sending those are very deceptive and unfair to judge
@@shikore22 You can't get a league looking at one replay anyway. If there would be only one guess, scores would be almost random. But like with statistics, if we take 4 guesses and sum up or average, it's not random anymore. There are a lot of clues even in "bad" games replay - game 3 where they both were way off - terran didn't split nicely and got wiped out by banelings. And decided to focus base instead of fighting an army. But the rest was actually quite decent, especially how he defended mutas. Only looking by that one thing it's unlikely to be gold. They got stuck with stim upgrade... On the other hand, if diamond 3 player follows some one base build order and executes it nicely, it may be mistaken with high masters - at least for me. I noticed I'm better with guessing lower leagues, and they are better at guessing higher. So there is definitely a lot of room to improve.
@@Plajerity true you got a point, but issue harstem co-helper is controlling the camera, highlighting parts of game where it seemed he played bad or good is kind of unjuste especially if replay did not include early, mid and late game
@@shikore22 Especially on lower levels people spend like 90+% time macroing, and there is very little going on. So, I feel like there is usually enough info about metal leagues. Some games can be misleading like mass carries at 12 min, but usually there are multiple hints that it's not diamond and above. And people at silver, gold and plat are actually quite precise at guessing this mmr range.
Some real... creative nerds this time around, tough to judge because the opponents ended up even more confusing & distracting! Thx for having me even if some of these submissions need an Angry Coach.
@@SnkobArts Yeah many of these replays could come ranging from gold 1 to masters like the last one. This zerg looked like me on a bad day and I am only plat 1 close to d3.
I usually come pretty close on guessing with 1 game I'm sometimes wildly off on since I'm no pro and don't have their eyes. But pretty much all of these I kept second guessing and being really confused about. Used to seeing 0-1 of these out of the 4, not 3-4 lol.
6:00 The Price is Right is an American gameshow where people have to guess how much things cost. The closest to the correct amount without going over is the winner. For example, if Harstem, Winter, and I were trying to guess the cost of a Coop Commander ($6.25), and I guessed $2, Winter guessed $4, and Harstem guessed $6.50, then Winter would win. Because even though Winter was $2.25 off and Harstem only $0.25, Harstem went over (in this example).
Winter guessed D1 in the last replay, which was Masters 3. That is one division off, meaning he got 2 points. Hamster gave him 3. HAMSTER GET YOUR POINTS RIGHT M8.
Yeah he even said himself " I did better than you and thats what matters." Should have been 2 points for winter there. Still a loss overall so I dont think it matters too much.
@@arnehenkler8391 I see, that makes sense. Though it is also possible that Winter did send Diamond 1 to Hamster and only said he picked Diamond 2 in confusion. Edit: Just saw that Harstem pinned a comment adressing it.
Diamond 1. Tipical Before 5 mins play like a champion. Good execution of build order and first battle micro. But as the game goes further. Unspent resource get quite high. The toss army movement shows good understanding of AI targeting priority But didn't know when thor attack colossal will use punishing cannon Which out range unupgraded clifwalker. Fairly experienced But better army movement makes him a master level player.
For some reason I always guess spot on whenever both guys are way off. That 3rd game I wanted to guess in plat based off the Terran but we were rating the zerg and everything about his play screamed D3.
My guesses: Diamond 2 (Micro and usage of units felt higher, the plan and build order felt lower, so i sorta just went with diamond and took the middle, payed of!!) Silver 1 (So, i in my mind i thought there is no way this is plat, any decent canon rusher gets to play, but it was so bad, and no use of blink, wow guess i was wrong?) Diamond 3 (I did not notice the stim restart, but the gameplay felt like they had a plan, and the terran can often get away with less micro, if would say plat 2 if it wasn't the zerg we . were watching, Ok good feeling, i was worried about when they started talking about stim xD) Master 3 (This was the more tricky one, i tend to have a bias to not go into master guesses, but this game felt better than the dia games, but looking at the zerg, i was boerding dia 1, . It payed of going for the gut feeling of masters!) Overall: I'm amazed i did so well this tiem, that silver 1 suckd though, i was so convinced the canon rusher was too bad to get to plat, still very happy with the results, ggs! :D
29 points. Not a good start. Not a good finish. Nowhere to go but up from here. . . . . 1. Gold 3 - 8 Points - I get the sense these are players that got as far as they could on okay micro without just going for all-ins (or anything else, really). 2. Gold 3 - 4 Points - He didn’t die to the cannon rush, even if it was a bad one. 3. Gold 3 - 7 Points - The Terran had a lot of Marines…and that’s it…didn’t try to kite the lings. Did nothing against the banes. Did get kited by the Mutas. I realize we were watching that player, but it’s not hard to stutter step one group if that’s all you’re doing. 4. Gold 3 - 10 Points - I’m stubborn. I made this guess before even watching. Might as well go for high score at this point.
On the third one I feel like they missed that the zerg seemed to have at least 3 control groups in the very beginning. He separately controlled banes, lings, and queens.
They're actually quite charismatic together, aren't they? EU and NA cultural differences make for a good vibe. Imagine this duo shaping the future of competitive #Stormgate casting.
Round 3 is clearly diamond 3. A player shouldn't be judged so harshly when "you look away one second and die" as stated by Lowko. Also, the Stim got cancelled but you missed seeing this. Also, NA is definitely more free flowing rather than following rigid build orders.
Harstem, long time viewer, big fan of yours. Excellent content, DESPITE your jabs at Americans! :P But, I have a suggestion, since you are so good at "Rank Roulette" perhaps it should be your guests against EACH other, instead of you? That way it is fairer and they are competing against someone who has as much experience playing this as them?
@@eck0hcobra15 Oh, don't misunderstand, I don't want Harstem to be out of it completely, he can definitely maintain the conversation and I think it would be a benefit if he did. I think the guests should compete against each other.
I wish we got to watch a little more of the replay. Each round feels like 1 minute of replay, and 4 minutes of them talking about things that we didn't see in the replay because it was cut.
