I just listened to the new album of Nightwish and it made me realize how fucking good Wintersun is. The Nightwish album had no effect on me at all, even though I've been waiting forward to it. Major letdown, but this song is fucking special. The crowdfunding needs to succeed!!

Winterfun I love Nightwish, and love their new album, and seeing them live was amazing. They are different than Wintersun, not as dark, not so much like the cold North woods and spirits of the long nights, but they are beautiful and Tuomas is brilliant. Still , I feel a mystical , haunting, eerie and soul wrenching force from Wintersun that nobody else can evoke. Nightwish is refined, sophisticated and grand , Ensiferum is raw Northern power , Wintersun is the Aurora under the Milky Way with all the impersonal lonliness of the infinite starry skies and all the fullness of ancient spirits among the spruces of the boreal forest of my Northern ancestors.

The Air Loom "Just wrote Killer Riff 2, it´s even better! Very melodic yet dark and heavy. Using a drop Bb tuning for this one. Has a cool odd time signature on top of 4/4, so a bit "djenty". Now you´ll just have to wait to 2033 until I can record a new album." This is from his facebook last year. And I remember he said something about some space themed material that is also a bit djenty. I don't like djent myself but I'm sure I will like pretty much anything Jari will write.

MisterMcWilli Might be that the song isn't finished yet, could also just be the video quality. A small camera simply cannot catch all the details. I'm pretty sure we will also notice a big difference in the studio version of The Way of the Fire even though the latest recordings have been very good already. The final version will sound different for sure, including hundreds of vocal backing tracks and more orchestrations. ;)

If you use a better cam, the security will confiscate it. I use only a little cam and so it is no problem most of the time.

SylarSilent Officially, you may not filming! If the security people are nice , you may use small cams which are not powerful. Better cameras with directional microphone will never admitted. Otherwise I would have a professional equipement ;)

Caro Ute You can get pretty good results with even a phone camera if you are in the right place (the closer to the mixing desk the better) and the sound is overall good at the venue. I hope SOOO MUCH that many people will film this all over so we get a good sense what's going on in the song. And by the way huge thanks to you for this upload! :)

Ilkka Pättikangas No, I can not use a phone camera. I have problems with my hands (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). It is not easy to film with the cam, impossible with smartphones (for me). I do this "Job" since years. I know where the best place is, but I am not tall ;) and so I must take what I get ^^ The sound in Geiselwind (Wintersun 2012) is very good! This time nothing was good :-/

Tim Dijkstra I'm not entirely sure, but I think that Jari is going a bit towards pagan metal here. He has stated that he likes Moonsorrow and they have lots of nature related lyrics. The Finnish pagan religion before christianity involved lots of spiritualism towards forests.
