The very FIRST song I´ve ever heard from Wintersun back in 2007... Been in love since then.

Guitar work on the first album is honestly the best. Soaring solo''s, catchy melodies, guitar riffs that truly test right hand endurance. For sure Time I sounds bigger but this sounds more honest to me, maybe less "perfection" but way more raw emotion.

To me, this album is perfect. Top 5 all-time in any genre. It was the soundtrack to my twenties, and almost 20 years later, it never left my rotation. Thank you, Jari.

Today, on the last moments of 2019, 15 years after this song was released, i still get shivers down my spine like the first time. Wintersun is without a doubt one of my top 3 favourite albums ever. A masterpiece so ahead of his time. Starchild will forever be the most incredible, majestic and powerfull lyric ever created.

This song is has all 3 sounds that we know from Jari. The epic keyboard part reminded me of Ensiferum, the overal sound is typical for self titled, but it has the epic ness and song structure and lyrical themes of what was yet to come with Time I
