Although he really never should have changed Bloom's powers to the fairy of the Dragon's Flame...a lot of what the Flame does is still just wind stuff...and design choices make more sense if she's the fairy of the wind/creation. Maybe she could have been like one the old Attack to Magix game if she needed Dragon in the title...Fairy of the Dragon's Blow...or Dragon's Breath if Blow gets in trouble with the Fox Censors.
I do like Tecna's early design especially the outsifts (Top) but the rest of the characters looks terrible and I can see why the team designers from the Winx Club Series decided to changes the characters design at the last minute before the first series began.
I think the part where you say bloom is fairy of the wind I think your right cause in the pilot where the original designs appear when it’s blooms final pose you can see (sorry if you don’t understand but I trying to explain it) something cover the screen and it looks like wind but in the sketches it’s fire but I think she was always fairy of the dragon flame I think they just changed her powers though but I wonder what if she was still fairy of the wind
I thought about this video way too much, which by the way, means it's a very good video and I do have a few thoughts I want to share. 1) The "Teena" logo, I've seen fans talk about it every now and again and point out it says Teena. I don't think it does. I think it says Tecna, it's just that the font is badly made and the c and e look really similar. The letters do look different. 2) Bloom being the fairy of the wind. I don't really see any point to Iginio Straffi lying about that, so I thought about it and I just had a little theory of my own. I have no solid proof it is just a theory, but what if Bloom being a fairy of the dragon flame was originally a plot-twist? Season 1 has so many plot twists from the Brandon & Sky switch to Bloom being adopted. I think it would make sense that while Bloom was still learning her powers they would get the wrong idea about the sort of fairy she was. Maybe the flames came out later and it only began as hot air. Besides, Mattel dolls were always spoiler free. The one Sky doll we have is called Brandon, cause calling him Sky would have been a spoiler. 3) I will forever hold out hope that some day someone will be cleaning up somewhere and find some more forgotten Magic Bloom materials that were backed up on a VHS tape for some marketing project they all forgot about. So many people are involved in making a series, someone might have something somewhere. Is it unlikely? Yes. But I like to dream. 4) Even if we get some remade Magic Bloom episode that isn't the real deal, I would still like to see it. If it ends up being a good episode made by Rainbow, even if it's just a remake, I'd still want to see it. It's still real Winx content as long as it is made by Rainbow. About Bloom. I would actually like that twist to be reversed...because character wise and power-wise...Bloom being the fairy of the Whispering Winds makes a lot more sense about the wind being her true power and answers the question of her outfit being blue (insert fiancè jokes here.) and everything concerning her origins. Have it be that Bloom thinks she's the Fairy of the Dragon Flame (so it sounds like she has a "cool sounding" power), but in actuality it, but learn that she's really the Fairy of the Whispering Winds. I mean think about it...Bloom's a fairytale nerd...when she meets Stella, Flora, Musa and Tecna...three of them all have the most exciting traditional fairy powers except Tecna who has an unusual exciting power, and when Aisha/Layla joins she has an unusual name (or if she's there from day 1 which I would prefer) ditto for Roxy when she shows up, but a more traditional power. Light, Plants, Song, Seas and Animals respectively while Tecna contrasts with Electrical/Storm powers (not too many weather-related fairies out there), so for Bloom to find out she has the most mundane fairy power (as she said flame to sound cool and fit in at Alfea instead of embracing the wind she actually has) it becomes a bigger shock, and then have it be revealed that this is the real reason why Stella, Roxy and Tecna occassionally get into it with her (it also better explains the convergence goof-up in the bff project...Stella wanted to do something super hot, but Bloom didn't want to do something so intense for fear of harming the class which would make a small solar wind) and why she gels so well with Flora, Musa and Aisha. Bloom being the fairy of the Whispering Winds means that like the wind...she's flighty...which is also the most natural thing for a fairy to be...and then have it be revealed that Flora always knew Bloom was the fairy of the Whispering Winds, but not because anyone told her, rather because she deduced it...and plants bend in the wind, wind helps make music and the reason why Bloom trusts Layla to lead when she's away? Layla brings the rain to clean up the mess because wind and rain are the natural compliment of each other...and Bloom and Layla are both described as "fairies of life" (especially when Aisha is used as the name) and what two elements are mostly described as life? Wind and Rain...because they bring forth change.
For the Magic Bloom pilot? It looks like a DiC production and it looks as if it would adapted episode 8 given the strong Cloud Tower footage that is shown. Now with that style...the writing might have been done more like the Carmen Sandiego cartoon (which was raw game footage played back with AVR added for our benefit because Earth was the most difficult and unreleased game.) and it's contemporaries of Archie's Weird Mysteries and Sabrina: TAS. E/I Mysterious Magic and exploring the consequences much more harshly when magic was used irresponsibly...and possibly playing up Bloom as this comic book writer and artist who made the whole show up.
Winx Club had became a Pilot called Magic Bloom before The Main Series Premiered in 2007. It had 8 Seasons, 3 Movies, 4 Specials and Even spin offs like PopPixie and World Of Winx. in Season 1, there were only 5 girls of The Winx Club: Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa and Tecna and even Five specialists like Sky, under the Alias, Brandon, and Brandon, under the Alias Sky. then there's Timmy, a geeky nerd who is a fan of Technology just like Tecna and Riven, who doesn't have a thing for romance but likes fighting. Then the Main villains are the Trix, a group of witches who attend the Cloud Tower School for witches. The three witches, in fact are descendants of the three ancestral witches, in search of the Dragon Flame, a power the great dragon created.

Flora's liliac hair design doesn't look the best, i know what they're going for with the floral thing but even still I like the more down to earth brown. but I am ok with Musa's green hair (probably because it is simillar to her blue I grew up with.)
If the pilot hair colors for Musa and Flora were switched it wouldn't be so bad. It would just look like Musa always had her deep-sea Cursed Sirenix hair and and Flora would have been taking the phrase "going green" a bit too literally (as her outfits after Believix do, which shows why she's not such a wallflower anymore without saying.)
after Tecna got her Enchantix, she used fairy dust to close the Omega Portal from the inside, Causing her to suddenly disappear into the Omega Dimension, Making The Winx Club incomplete without Her. So in order to avenge Her, Bloom, Stella, Flora Musa and Aisha Decided to go to Cloud Tower to get revenge on Valtor for Tecna's disappearance. The Girls split up: Aisha And Stella go to the sorcerer Lab to find Headmistress Griffin and free her while Bloom, Musa, and Flora confront Valtor in Griffin's office.
