Your Santa story made me teary- and then we went to my husbands extended family holiday celebration and Santa came out. My daughter is extremely anxious and wants zero parts of that so when it came time for him to give her her gift I just told him to move on to the next kid as she froze like a deer in headlights. After he finished passing out the gifts to the other kids he came over to her to give her her gift and talk to her. It was so sweet- I of course had walked away (she was with her dad) so I have no idea what was said but it was just such a special moment. ❤❤

Thank you so much for addressing the pen. I really appreciate it. :) My thoughts about the whole licensing issue is this....judging others without first looking in the mirror is just not a thing for me. I say to each their own. People just have to remember, in a lot of cases, one gets what one pays for. I love Dimitra Milan art, so the thought of me buying a kit where she is not compensated does not sit well with me. But honestly, I am very particular about the art I like so most of the budget shops don't carry anything I like anyway. Just always remember, honesty is best. :)

Thank you for also addressing the topic of licensing. (15:00) I, too, have been fed the licensing posts and they can get VERY nasty. I've seen people called names, accused of things, etc. It's sad and unnecessary. I come from an education background. I believe in licensing and fair compensation. I also don't believe in fighting within our groups. I think these conversations should come from a place of empathy and respect, so thank you for speaking up as one of our community leaders and offering logical solutions to a very big issue and topic.

Your Santa story choked me up. We had really good experience as well. My kiddo immediately climbed in Mrs Clause lap and for real there is never a right answer in parenting. And with all the challenges that come with special needs as well I just want to say "You are doing a good job

First off, you're gorgeous and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. I absolutely love that Santa story. It really shows that there is a magic with Christmas. Also Skip being the perfect cat and also being the last, I feel like some Christmas magic helped there. I definitely would sit and watch an hour long unboxing. You are going to have a great variety of kits.

You’re 100% allowed to get emotional! This is a world that wasn’t meant for us autistic folks so when all of a sudden there’s a moment no matter how brief where the world seems to be for us it’s a big friggin deal! You are allowed to feel all your feelings and I’m so glad you got the Christmas magic you and your family both needed and deserved. Also love the idea of showing your beautiful self more! If anyone has anything extra to say about it I’ll have some words for them and none of them will be good 🐸☕️ merry Christmas sweet friend

Yes please post the long Black Friday/cyber Monday video! I’m sure you put a lot of work into it and a lot of us would love to see it! Your Santa story was just precious! I get nervous about taking our 2 year old out in public because well she’s 2 and you never know how that’s going to go 😂 So getting validation/encouragement from strangers almost always makes me emotional. It would help me from feeling sorry for myself because my Husband isn’t here with us again this year. Thank you for the WIP and chat, Katie! You are beautiful, inside and out, don't let anyone tell you differently. If they do, they have self esteem issues on a higher level, that they need to deal with. I believe I am a part of some of those groups arguing about where to purchase from and it makes me cringe. I understand both sides but people do not seem to know how to use kind words. I personally love longer video's, it gives me something to listen to, can't wait to see what you purchased for Black Friday/Cyber Monday! The Santa visit was meant to be, I'm glad you all were able to visit him! Hope you have a great Christmas! ☕🍵

I agree, best to not just argue your opinion, but to offer solutions!!! How many arguments might be avoided if we talked about possible solutions instead of "our side" of any issue! Really enjoy your wip and chats and small shop hauls!

This year I have really am going to reflect on time management with work and Diamond painting. It has r really been a saving grace for me as far as stress. Just starting out this past year, I went a little crazy😅. I’m going to branch out and look at some smaller places for paintings. I have all the accessories small shops on speed dial. I truly enjoy your talks about real life and sharing of all Diamond painting aspects to broaden my world. Your person experience with your son and Santa and your reality with holidays is very powerful and so many can relate. I’m glad I found your channel ☕️it makes my time more enjoyable

First I would like to say that there would have been absolutely no objection to an even longer video. I was very excited to see all that you got! Next I want to say that I sent you the biggest virtual hug ever when you were talking about Santa. I cried with you. I definitely get it. My youngest son is grown now but I remember those days when he was younger. My son's needs was different but its still the same principle. It does make you feel overwhelming joy when someone shows kindness and empathy with your child's needs. Its still just as much joy when they are an adult and something similar happens. I am behind on my RU-vid watching, so I watched your BF/CM haul before this video. I watched the whole thing as I watch and work on my WIP at the same time. I find it fascinating to see what other people buy. I like the thumbnail pics; I think it helps people connect. The Santa story made me mushy inside. ❤ You are a better woman than me for toughing it out with that big tip and skinny pen. I bought one with screw in tips off Amazon a while back. I couldn’t use it at all and immediately returned it.

Since I started my channel I was told that it’s best to show your face, especially in thumbnails and beginnings of videos. But it’s hard! You are your own worst critic and so anytime I watch my videos I’m cringing. But this community seems to be such a good one. Maybe this is just an assumption, but my opinion is that if you are patient enough to love something like Diamond painting, then you are generally a patient person, which is usually a sign of goodness and kindness in people. Way to go Diamond painting community!

Your Santa story made me cry, I am so glad you were able to have that experience and memory. I need to see the new Christmas Doctor Who specials, we also didn’t keep up with the last couple of Doctors. I wish I had a Dragons and Beasties pin/ minder because I’m currently working on Aurora the unicorn from DAC with their character. I’m glad you finished Loki, I think at some point I want to tackle a cross stitch conversion myself. I cross stitch as well so I think I can manage. It’ll be a future goal for now though. I look forward to your Black Friday/ Cyber Monday haul regardless of how long it ends up being!

My husband and I are like you in Adam when it comes to gift giving. We don’t exchange birthday, Anniversary or Christmas gifts. Instead we will do a cruise or see a Cirque du Soleil show or buy an extravagant item for the house that we will both enjoy. Glad to know we aren’t alone. 🫖

I loved that you addressed the licensing situation so graciously. I'm 100 percent in the pro licensing camp as you are and ethics are a big thing with me. My 24 y.o. is a very talented graphic artist (she was an art major) and though she has pieces that I have wanted to submit to DAC for years, she knows of the theft problem and wants nothing to do with any diamond painting company because of the crippling fear of having her work stolen. I can't say that I blame her. The comment threads upset me so I just limit my participation in groups where people discuss it. Though I completely agree with your stance on it, I just think you were so kind (as you always are) in offering viable solutions. I just don't have the patience required for the group discussions. You are truly a gem 💎 in this community, Katie. Always so kind, gracious and logical. This community is lucky to have you.

This year I have adopted the phrase "Have a gentle holiday." There is SO MUCH to do. It's overwhelming. Both Hubby and I have come down sick. House is a wreck. Company is supposed to be over tomorrow and 12/24-12/28. It's a reminder for radical and acceptance and self care--it is what it is. Nobody will love us any less for having gifts left unwrapped. It's ok that the house is messy. We made it to the end of the year! That is an accomplishment unto itself. SO thank you to everyone in the SP community for being so amazing and supportive and I can't wait to rock 2024 with you.

🪔🪔🪔 Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. Sorry couldn't find a hot drink. Thank you for your WIP and Chat. Glad the Santa Claus you tool your sons to was compassionate about Your youngest. My Mom was always happy when the Santa Claus was understanding about my sister's severe speech impediment. I started watching Dr Who in the 70s. The Doctor then was Jon Petree. Watched from then on. Didn't watch with the female doctor. Thought the storyline, scripts and acting was very poor. I have not watched the Christmas Specials because they are on Disney+ and I can't remember my password for Disney+. Nothing against Disney. Then again I panic when entering letters and numbers on my SmartTV. I will have to wait for my friend to come over. Have a wonderful week

Loved your Santa story. I got extremely emotional listening. I used to be a special ed assistant in a grade school CDS room and I loved those kids like they were my own. I became good friends will a few of the parents and would do respite care for them. I’ve seen the struggles parents go through. It’s obvious you’re a great Mom Katie. The Santa experience was so unbelievably touching and obviously made a day you were nervous about turn into a wonderful and heartfelt memory!! ☕️

You're trips sound fun! The comedy thing sounds awesome! We may check it out. Bill Burr is going to be at the Hollywood Bowl and he is our absolute favorite. Hoping to be able to get tickets. We are going to Knotts for the day with our kids but as far as going anywhere that's about it. We're going to pick a weekday to go . Hopefully none of the good rides are closed.

Can I make a video suggestion that would be helpful for those of us that are absolute beginners and care about licensed art? I am finding it rather difficult (once you get outside Diamond Art Club) figuring out which online stores use licensed or stolen art. A video/list of known good sites and maybe some suggestions on how to tell if the store is using stolen art would be tremendously helpful.
