Hey Naomi, been struggling quite a bit lately and so to hear you today brought me comfort and made me feel not so alone. I’m not sure if you have heard of an Aussie band called Cold Chisel or not, they are a favourite of mine. Their song 🎵 Khe Sanh 🎵 always makes me feel happy and reminds me of being younger with not too many responsibilities just driving in the car during summer, windows down and the wind in the hair and it up load on the stereo. ❤❤❤

I describe my mental funk as emotionally restless.

I think I’m the grudge-holder in my family, sadly. 😂. But my grudges tend to be over ridiculously innocuous things. For example, I’ve been holding a grudge against Jean M Auel since I was 8 (… so 35-ish years now) because I read “Valley of the Horses” as an 8 year old (who still thought kissing was the most disgusting thing two people could do) mistakenly assuming based off the title that it was going to be a book about a whole valley of horses, like Black Beauty x1000! Turns out I was VERY WRONG. I still managed to finish the book somehow, and my mom describes my temper tantrum when the book never met my expectations of being about lots and lots horses as one of the funniest she’s ever witnessed. I still refuse to read anything else Jean M Auel has written, despite become a romance novel person as I got older. 😂

My husband is the grudge holder and most of the time it's twisted and overthought and not what actually happened. He brought up something that happened 10 years ago that hurt his feelers and I had no idea haha. Then I corrected him and he did the palm-to-forehead thing hahaha

It my sound corny but my happy song is We've only just Begun by the Carpenters. Not only is Karen's voice so lovely but it was one of my wedding songs. It takes me back to my wedding ,where I was 18 and standing next to my best friend. The future was so new to us and I felt the 2 of us could accomplish anything together. Naomi for you (with your babies graduation) to reflect at your past, present and future. The past we cannot change but we can learn from our not so perfect moments. The future , where we want to go and accomplish. But most important , the present and being grateful for everything we have ....

The grudge holder thing is a reason why I don't talk about personal things on my socials. My family does follow my youtube channel and if I can truly vent about my life I would but some people in my life would really be like "You shouldn't be telling everyone your personal business online..." I did once and it just caused drama. That's why I'm at a loss on what to even do with WIP n Chats because I want to make this a thing like everyone else does.

Wow, so happy to have come across you working on that gorgeous diamond painting that I want so bad. I don't normally watch "WIP and chat" diamond painting videos, but because you were working on that one, I watched. I enjoyed listening to all your contemplations. Full disclosure: I am a Bible studying devout Christian. I'm not here to proselytize you. I'm here because I share the same love of diamond painting you have. Interestingly enough, as a devout Christian, it's curious why I'm still attracted to some kind of dark art or fantastical magical art. I began working on Enys Guerrero's Judgment Card, which is art for a tarot card. LOL That's not compatible with Christian faith, but I liked the art so I bought it and I am working on it. I'll be working on it with you in your event Wings and Anythings. The background is very dark and black and from a practical standpoint, it's very hard positioning the 310 drills nicely because they're hard to see on the black background. And the symbols are challenging as well. And it is really big. Very intimidating. I saw you were working with putty. I have the same putty, but my putty is the consistency of chewed gum. It's wet and sticky. It's not really usable for me, but I'm thinking that perhaps the climate I live in Maryland (near Chesapeake Bay) is why. It's very humid here and the putty can't dry out enough to really use it. You asked about songs that took us back to happier times. The song that takes me back to much happier times is Asia's Heat of the Moment. And really any 80s music does it for me. Grudges? I had them. But they vanished. Just like that. They stopped bothering me and left my mind. I guess I outgrew them. I hope to see more of that Basilica in the future.
