Thank you for the WIP and chat, Shay! I am working on The Tea Party for BlingingInTheNewYear and TicketToRide and also finishing up Gnomes in a Snowy Forest for BeTheHeroDPAlong. I usually only work on one diamond painting at a time but its going better than I thought. I am glad you are getting more into a routine and it WILL get easier the more time passes. I have a sister-in-law that started out in one of those little trailer drive up coffee shops in Idaho. She’s now branch to a small Starbucks-type version. Her personality sounds just like the girl you are describing. I don’t know how after all these decades she keeps up all that chatter but the customers love her and she’s in her element and it’s like she lives to talk.🤣🤣🤣

Hi Shay! I always find training new people draining. We had three new people start two weeks apart a couple of years ago. It was interesting to see how different they all were during the learning process compared to doing the job. Have a great weekend! 🥰💎

Just finished work, packing up now & it's muggy & hot in NZ. Sitting in the car with the insane traffic, wearing black. My clam is going to be cooked by the time I reach home🤣🤣 But thank you for staying up so late just to hang out with us.🥰❤

I always love your videos Shay but the snoring made this one Extra fun!!!!! I have been sick since Dec. 19th. started out as kidney stones with Uti, common symptoms are flu like symptoms , which I had all of and then some. Tried several times every week to go back into work and felt so awful I had to go home. week 3 all my co-workers are scolding me for not making a follow up with my doc, so I did. Turns out, in addition to my original condition, i had caught flu b. So doc put me out of work for another 5 days. Ive missed SOOO much work my bills are really gonna fall behind. I go back to work tomorrow, but I feel much better thankfully. So thats whats up with me. im not a big sharer but you always ask so sincerely, i figured id update you. I really missed all your lives and such. All I could do was sleep the whole 3-4 weeks. was great to hear your voice today. see you next sunday. 💞

Heyy Shay Shay!! The beginning of the year always makes me feel fresh 🥰🥰👍👍. When I make goals it’s like I sabotage myself. Sooo I have a “plan” to do the year long plan that Maritza might do with us, depending on the interest. Right now I am participating in Smashin the specials 7, and I may do more depending on size requirements. What happens when you have visited all the doctors? I am so proud of you!!! OMG!!! People can be so 🤮 gross!!! Ackkkk. It is so sad that the spirit of Christmas can’t continue. How is Lou adjusting to working now? I hope she is feeling better!! Shay, you rock!! I’ve done medical front office before. Sometimes, I would be busy (not necessarily on the phone) and when sales people walked in, it would really interrupt my time. I think if that office had better protocol of what to do with sales people, it would have been better. Most often it would be up to me, if we need the information or not. Like, how was I to decide that?.. It was a pet peeve of mine but at the same time, understanding that they were doing their job, too.

Happy New Year! I actually learned about your channel through Mrs. Coffee. Love you both. I have a couple of wips in progress, but right now I’m working on the DAC calendar. I’m up to March. Btw, when you start a new job, you’re usually on probation for 3 months, so your job can still be considered new for a couple of more months!

I work during the day and I work from home. I’m remote unless I need to go see my clients for meetings. I was up late last night working on my WIP from raw sueshii :) she’s coming out beautifully. Once I’m done with her I will kit up my largest DP from craftibly Lil DragonZ galaxy I can’t wait! There are so many ABs and specialty drills. 😊

In my experience in training new people, I just hope it doesn't mean they are looking to replace you or someone else (worse case scenario). It's a red flag kinda to me when everyones scrambling to find a place to put that new person and then they see you arrive and throw that new person onto you. Most of the time though, when I was working in retail even if I was the oldest cashier on that shift they had a person who's only been there 2 weeks train the new person. But that's just my experience.

It semi blows my mind when you talk about having to visit 100 different dr offices per week and there’s like 5-6 of you doing it?!?! I live in the Keys so it’s like 6 dr offices in a 50 mile radius 😂. Glad it seems to be working out for you though!

If I would fly of. 2024 started of rough 😢 I haven't diamond painted in about 6 weeks. I put away for Christmas and we'll life has taken over and I just can't muster myself up to even listen to all my favourite people on RU-vid. Good luck with your weight loss. Oh boy I have all intentions on Christmas day to eat all i want but I find it hard. I need to loose weight but I had last year as my appetite has gone. I have to eat due to meds and if Dean didn't prepare things for me I wouldn't eat regularly. OK I'm lost what does hang out with your clams out mean??? Am I being dim not knowing (please don't answer) is it an American saying? Please help this brit out. Your new co worker sounds interesting lol. 🤔 I'm glad you are still enjoying the job but not sure we can accept you slacking with us lol no Christmas premier and no year view. I think calling it a "new job" is sometimes relative honestly. I have only had 5 jobs in my entire life (not including like paper route and babysitting as a younger teenager). One year, 4 years, 10 years, 4 years and most recent going on 18 years. Whereas my sister has had like 100 jobs easily, the longest was maybe a year, but several were a few weeks only. For the average person I think 6 months would seem reasonable. Just my thought. Happy New Year!

#replay. Maybe you feel like you have less to talk about, but your stories are getting pretty funny. Mr. snot rocket could’ve at least waited until he got in his car and gotten a tissue.🤮. One of my brother-in-law recently retired from being a drug rep. I’m sure he can relate to a lot of your stories. As for myself, I have been laying low. I’ve had a chronic case of bronchitis going on two months now. I finally went to the doctor today and looked around for you. You weren’t there.😕 I left with an arsenal of prescriptions.🤣

Hanging out with things out sounds like swingers or nudists. 😂 I think you may have less to say because you are exposed to different experiences now. Just my opinion, but you have gone from home and pets to work and driving. You knew what was acceptable to say about home and family, but you are still learning what to say about work. Where to draw the line of funny and privacy. MYOB or OK to share.
