Well, I'm in. I got the PSVR first, but I'm much more of a PC guy, so I don't use it as much as I should. I'll have to dust it off for this, it looks like a blast. Also, finally followed you on Twitter. We gotta get you over 1000! So close!
Hello Mike me and my friend Eugene Stacy want to say congratulations on getting a PlayStation VR enjoy it. And I cannot wait to see what videos you make with one game should try is the inpatient. Have a good evening Mike. See you on the VR inside podcast
Denis Marchetto Hey. Not trying to be negative here so please don't see it that way. The Inpatient was highly anticipated, but was overall a flop that most of the PSVR community and reviewers agreed on. Everyone is different, so don't write it, but Resident Evil 7 is the real horror game to play on PSVR. I'm normally a wuss with horror games, but the story and the constant feeling of uneasiness you get with never knowing what to expect during the ENTIRE GAME.....man, there's no other game like it.
Wow Mike, I think you might have (accidently?) highlighted what is the ESSENCE of VR. I say this from my own channel being a sim-racing purist, in the sense that I personally would have NEVER played a game like this. Not that I disliked it in any way, but just that so-called "straight out" driving/racing games appealed to me more than this. But when you "lock out" everything else that way any VR headset does, by blocking out the world around you................. then suddenly by the vision shown here - it just seems to become another thing entirely. What an excellent way to introduce us to your new PSVR (of course as a racer, I am somewhat biased ; )
Thanks mate! I’m glad you enjoyed it. For my first proper PSVR video I was impressed with Wipeout and how it performed. I’ll cover more PSVR content soon. It’ll mainly be PSVR exclusive content. I’ll be jumping back into the Rift for the next game.
Yep Mike, hot and sweaty are definitely the first signs of motion sickness and you should give it break right away; probably leave it till the next day...
Mike...really excited to see you do a review of PSVR overall, once you've played more games. Just remember, it's not the Rift. Instead, keep in mind what Sony pulled off here using super old tech for motion controllers, the fact that a PS4 is not a PC with a 1080ti card in it, and that it uses the Playstation camera. Also, it's the cheapest entry point into full blown VR. Super Hot is on both PC and PSVR and they both look fantastic. Moss looks fantastic. So, keep in mind what Sony pulled off with the hardware limitations alone is impressive.
For the most intense experience set camera settings to Pilot, headset settings Off and field of view Off !Brilliant game and hopefully Polyphony Digital get a kick up the arse from Sony and patch GT Sport to bring 8 car full VR races online and offline ! No excuses! This game shows it can be done ,Plus although GT 's physics are way come complicated the amount of track and environment detail is Way Less than Wipeout so it is definitely Possible to balance the processing power to do it . Kazanouri Yamauchi needs to forget his Ego and Arse into gear!
Virtual Reality Oasis I must admit after a long. Play session I did feel a bit wobbly myself for a while after .Best play whatever settings make you feel comfortable ,Brilliant game either way 😊
I never got the same feels from Redout. I think in part maybe it's the combat of Wipeout, coupled with the whole nostalgia of it (I've played Wipeout since the PS1). I kind of look at it like rally games vs grand-prix. I find rally games so much more fun and exciting, whereas a GP game to me is just dull. So yeah, for me Redout is the GP equivalent, whereas Wipeout is the rally one - with guns on top :)
You kinda ought to try out Redout. But of course there's a ton of other stuff coming to PC VR these days... Wonder if we'll just get 10 Skyrim VR vids for April and nothing else. :D
