I'm putting my Rain-X on today, it is the cheaper version, not Silicon, but the main thing I wanted was de-install and install and this helped me, especially you breaking those pieces in parts to exhibit what's happening/ I mean this as a 100% compliment when I say you explain it so a 10-year old can understand it, and even though I'm middle aged now, that's what I need, the breakdown on very simple/basic terms, so I greatly appreciate your efforts here. I'll update in 48--72 hours if I got it on. We used Rain X, the same blades about 5 years. I would say the last 6--9 months the driver side is not behaving well. The passenger side, if you can believe it, still works. Got the driver's side replacement (today) for $18. We live in a weather intense state, so..... whatever that's worth to people.
Thank you so much. I've been trying to figure it out for 4 days. It's pouring rain so I decided to try youtube for an answer, you are the 3rd video I watched and by far the most concise, so I got out and did what you showed and it worked perfectly! You are a godsend!!
Omg, I'd freak out lol! I've always used rain x & had great luck but after hearing this I'm thinking I should return these since I haven't opened them & get Bosch! How have they held up?
Thanks so much for this! I’m recently widowed and needed this step by step video. I like how you explained how the parts work too! I was clueless. Please make more videos! 😊
Thanks for the video! My biggest concern is what you mentioned and I was trying to see if anyone else felt the same way. I’ve had my rainx blades on for a month now and where I live it’s rained hard a couple times. Always nervous of them flying off, but they are still on. Nice blade though so now complaints on that end. Just nervous of them coming off.
omg thank you for being so detailed!! I only halfway had mine on and it flung off on the road. I went back to find it and it had been ran over several times but I managed to feed the rubber piece back in after straightening out the metal pieces that hold it in place. It's not rained yet so idk if it's even going to work. After a pine cone fell and broke my last blade I started buying the warranty we'll see if they hold up to it.
Just tried to install Rain X Vision Blades and they lock into place BUT I am able to pull them off. The blades I replaced locked nicely and their design was much different for the locking mechanism. Blades are going back to the auto parts store.
I can never do these so simply lmao, good video, thanks, tried to scan the QR code for instruction but I didn’t know you had to pay just to use that, lame lol, it was recently raining here, heavy rain and my wipers weren’t doing a good job. Had a very hard time seeing, I real need LED headlights, so dark and gloomy here surrounded by huge mountains
@MajorWeakness When I went to buy these wipers the other day, another customer who acted like he was on Crack, said yeah those are good, I've had them on my car for 5 yrs!😆
mine is a 28 j hook its the exact same look ans everything but it has that damn closure tab >_< cant find a video for it and the instruction shows u close it ( its at the very top) the adapter that came with it is for the pins. i never had to use a closure tab and i bought about 4 rainx wipers over the years. this is the first time i had an issue :/
These actually do clip in so they won’t come off so easy. You just have to give them a bit of a tug until you hear a click which isn’t mentioned in the directions.
I just purchased these to replace my Bosch Icons. The new ones actually have a cover so they don’t fly off (which seems to have been a problem). I found out PIAA makes these for Rain-X, hope they’re good. After 3 years how did these hold up?
The problem I have is when I put it on my jayhawk and I slide it back the little clip will not go back down again. Almost as it's not completely lodged into place but it doesn't seem to want to move no matter how much I try to jam it into place and I'm not trying to break it at the same time. Total garbage.. I'm probably going to have to go back to the Toyota Lexus blades that were on it to begin with as those came off and went on very easy next to these pieces of junk..
@@MajorWeakness I seem to always have these freak weird things that happen to me that nobody's ever seen or heard of before.. and it's usually extremely bad for me. Thanks for responding..
NO Click, just the snapping of something in the mount mechanism and the broken piece coming out when i removed them to test.... These blades may be good but this mounting device is pure junk....Returning to store
@@MajorWeakness Sure worth the try-- I'm afraid that even with Gorilla Glue & a zip tie to secure them, this defective design will lead to still coming off during use this wet season and scratch my newish windshield.....
I tried that and didn't work. I have to cut the blade off with shears and cuss words. Why did the companies change a simple hole and tip into that SOB complicated POS!
