Sir I have this vehicle and you did an outstanding job with the camera despite the fact several factors were challenging you along the way. Thank you very much for producing this because what you showed in the video was extremely helpful. I want to replace the motor with a rebuilt unit and I’m going to look at the video you mention replacing with one that has intermittent capability. Again great job!

Thank you. I only did that video really quickly because someone had asked about it on my friends Live stream and my car was in a perfect situation to film that for him. I was just looking at my motor today and remembering I need to grab a variable speed unit for mine. I keep putting it off like many other projects on it. You will also need the switch for the truck as well.

Thx for making that vid. Helped me put back my wiper Assembly that I took out almost 8 years ago. The mustang had been sitting in my garage for eight years waiting to be worked on and I restarted working on it in December 2021. Knowing how to put that back in because I had it completely torn apart was a big help. Thanks again

No problem. It's allot easier when the interior and wiring it out of the car. Kind of easier on the rotisserie but harder to film.

I am at the end stages of my project ‘66 coupe, and I believe the wipers were the only item not removed from the car! lol I believe that I did replace the shaft gaskets, but that doesn’t require the whole apparatus to be removed.

Awesome. They are often not removed. There are two different gaskets for them. A leather one and a rubber type one they used. It's a question of which do you trust more to not leak. I'm Ok with either style.

@@theinfernalcraftsman I honestly don’t remember which ones I used. I would tend to believe I would have went with the rubber ones, but not sure.

This was very helpful in showing us where everything was. We had watched a rebuild of a motor, but their shots were of a mostly intact car, so it was hard to see the bolt locations.

Awesome. Yeah it's really hard to see what's going on with the wiring etc still in there.

Thank you for recording these details Robert. Looking forward to the truck motor install, and whether mods are required to the mechanism.

No problem It was a rushed video(not that different than usual :) ) but it was mainly meant to show the locations of the hardware so you know roughly where it is when you are fishing behind wiring and heater hoses.

thanks for showing the detail involved in this. Not something I would want to try with wiring radio heater box gauges and such already installed.
@theinfernalcraftsman
@theinfernalcraftsman 2 года назад
Yeah with the radio in there it would definitely be a pain. But at least you know what to feel for when you have to do it. And it's a whole lot easier than modern cars with their massive heater boxes and modules.

Watching you do this with no wires or pedals in the way makes me jealous
@theinfernalcraftsman

And I can do it standing up with the car on it's side on the rotisserie. It will also be the first item to go back in under the dash as well.

Now that I’ve done all this, the wiper blades are parking up vertically so they go down on to the paint. Any idea how to install the unit so they park correctly at the bottom of the window. It’s not the placement of the blades, but really the motor/arm position it seems.
@theinfernalcraftsman

Strange. I can't remember if the arm can be put on 180* off.
