Before the server shut down, I sent an invite for Squad Mission 20: Unnatural Disaster (the colubrim). One guy showed up and was NOT ready for this. Maybe a newbie who'd just reached L60. So, I was gonna do the heavy lifting, fine. Dispatched the scintimures, so far so good. Then the real fight starts, infinite overdrive time. . . but I'm not doing any damage. I had a rifle build and forgot that colubrims are immune to thermal. Figured this was our last chance so I went OK. . . let's do this. The underpowered newbie was gonna be the damage dealer, just need to keep him alive. Astrolibrium to reflect, decoy round to aggro, last stand to sustain buddy's overdrive, repeat and pray. He did it. He fucking did it. Beat it with almost no time left. Ten minutes of "Wir fliegen" and yeah. . . we flew.
It's been seven months since I became a Xenoblade fan, with the purchase of Xenoblade 3, currently finishing up Xenoblade 2 and just bought Xenoblade 1 DE. Was wondering if X is worth the hassle. This comment alone made me search the market and buy a Wii U and then a used copy of X. Y'all cool as hell thanks.
@@salami9701Glad you're enjoying the series so much. X is definitely a different vibe compared to the other games for me, but I still enjoyed it. Don't feel rushed on it when playing and just enjoy the ride. I'm glad to see someone discovering something special to them.
Because in the game it doesn't have the slow transition at the beginning and the lyrics are hard to hear with all the sound effects and the character saying the attack names.
These are the lyrics translated into english (originally in German): The skyscrapers conquer the sky glittering with stars We walk through the canyon of houses, so that we don't lose real light Our wounded hearts disappear into the darkness We are like snowy tracks in the snow We are like swirling leaves in the wind The time has come We hear tick tock The clock is ticking The journey into the future Tick tock, the clock is ticking The time has come We hear tick tock The clock is ticking We fly to you in light light We smash the sky like frosted glass, because he locks you in your room We fly hand in hand in the starry sky, because we are fighters for freedom We hit the mirror in which the sky is distorted We fly hand in hand in the starry sky, because we are fighters for freedom You too
Honesty, who thought it was a good idea to cut the song when it finally gets good. One of the examples in X where the song is great, but they did not use it well. The audio designs gotta be my biggest (and only major) gripe with the game
Xenoblade Chronicles X doesn't get enough love. It had just as good music as the main games, the gameplay wasn't bad, and I feel that the characters were lovable.
Freaking Hiroyuki Sawano as composer, a very vast world and mechas. For me, it is better than mainline games in every aspect except maybe history. It is more about the journey than the destination
XCX is a very very good game but it had 2 problems. 1st it came on the wii u which it actually used very good but the console wasnt popular. 2nd it was the 2nd game in the series but allready a odd one out like mario Party 9 and Pkm SuMo
Wait, you're telling me half of the lyrics iare in german? Damn, im a native german and was wondering what kind of language the lyrics are. Sounds neither like german nor english to me.,
I‘m happy that Monolith Soft decided to wait so that they can bring it to Nintendo‘s next console. First finish up the mainline Blade Games then basically remake X from the ground up, with the Online Features included, on (hopefully) better hardware
@@enigami3561 nothing confirmed but Monolith Soft themselves have stated that they want to do X again (this was years ago) I‘m sure we‘ll get it eventually, it‘s just a matter of time. Never got the people that were like „We‘re never getting it again!“
its because if you have the sky high art with infinite overdrive you can literally levitate without touching the ground. I figured this out when I was caught by an enemy who was inside of a lava lake
It's actually really easy to do. All you have to do is abuse the fact that Green (buff) abilities add 0.05 seconds per count to your overdrive time, and Blue (aura) abilities add 0.1 seconds per count to your overdrive time. If you run Photon Saber/Dual Guns, for example, you can also abuse the cooldown reduction that Overdrive gives at higher counts to permanently sit in Ghostwalk, becoming untouchable, while still getting relatively high sustained damage. Photon Saber also gives access to Essence Exchange, which helps towards getting into Overdrive if your TP is low. If you open with Primer > Essence Exchange > Overdrive > Ghostwalk > Zero Zero, then alternate between uses of Zero Zero and your buffs (you should have Geolibrium equipped to counteract the HP hit you'll take from Essence Exchange uses), you'll quickly reach max Overdrive count (Zero Zero does 10 hits, and if you use it right after a Green or blue ability in Overdrive, the count increase is doubled). The whole time you should be basically using Ghostwalk on cooldown, but once you hit max overdrive count, then you can go ham on damage, at which point even the level 90+ tyrants will go down really fast.
yeah, using either the ramjet rifle or arts TP augments should make keeping overdrive forever quite easy - with my augments every time i use an art i gain 400TP and thanks to my photon saber skills i can use arts very rapidly. - the rifle on the other hand gives you 900TP per volley but it's weak and takes 10 seconds to fire again, but builds TP fast early on in game
This gotta be the most underrated 10/10 videogame of all time Even with all its flaws the good parts hit SO FUCKING HARD and the OST is really the best one out there I really think is better than Persona 5 and other really hood osts
After killing Gradivus the headless emperor on foot with a knife and psycho launchers (it took a loooooong time due to low dmg) I literally CAN'T forget this song
@@adrianschulze1890 When you set Elma as a blade (you get her in dlc, doing a Nopon sage battle), she has an extra function where you can go into overdrive.
i love this as an overdrive song the reason is they are trying to find the life hold there on battery back up and the backing song reminds me of a clock ticking down and down as in times running out its pritty god dam good themeing
Even as someone who speaks German, it took me a while to realize that they‘re singing in German. And trying to decipher the full Lyrics is almost impossible
This is "the only music you will ever hear from now on after you master this mode" song for me, seriously i could stay in overdrive forever in any battle and it was extremely OP Geez.. 8 years? wow
Do it in a Skell. You are guaranteed at least 20 seconds and you can keep it going for even longer if you get lucky enough to trigger cockpit time when spamming arts.
