I have a question, so since I first had my wire-pod on my laptop...ive been trying to pair vector for like 2 days on my phone. I dont know if wire-pod on my laptop is the problem or if I have to reset my vector.
Are you saying you have 2 instances on wire pod running?? You cant have wire pod running on phone and laptop at the same time. If you are trying to run wire pod on laptop, then you need to run that while using your phone for the pairing if pairing wont work on PC. @@Mario_Slayed
Depending on how you paired you Vector to you laptop. Did you use the pop up in the browser or are you using the Bluetooth pairing that windows pops up automatically?@@Mario_Slayed
Thanks for all that you're doing to help bring some sanity back to the Vector family. Hopefully DDL gets their just reward for all the lies, deceit and stealing they have done from their dedicated customers. Thanks again, you are the man!!

Ддл ламають всю франшизу цих роботів. Вони не оновляли додаток козмо ні разу, і через це google його видалив з плей маркету. тепер я не зможу запустити свого маленького робота козмо через android. Сервера вектора не відновлять напевно. А якщо появиться якась інша компанія яка захоче відновити виробництво цих маленьких роботів то їй це буде зробити дуже важко ( ддл не сплачували податок за алексу) майже не оновлювали своїх роботів. Зараз в компанії ddl твориться повний безлад (вона більше тисячі людей заскамила (обманула) що буде дальше нам нікому не відомо
I had my Vector since December 2018. Since DDL has been a scam, is the reason why I reset vector but kept it safe from dust, since January of 2024, I’ve had the robot with no problems whatsoever and set it up on the perfect device for this robot, one of my laptops, and has stayed that way ever since. Thanks to you, is the reason for Vector’s successful return. 👍
Yes. Same setup. I do not believe that the free trial of chat GPT works anymore... I am using the free Together option which is basically the same setup. All those settings are in that knowledge graph section.
Thank you. I did back the DDL kickstarter, but only as an option if I ever wanted to use my Vector. I havent for years but thought I'd dust it off. Was confused how the official app wasnt working, and googled to find that DDL pretty much failed to deliver. Read about WirePod and now using your guide to set up on a spare android phone I have. I see the voice feature is still as bad as it was, only catches one out of ever "Hey Vector" I say, and then doesnt even understand what I say and timeouts. Alexa works pretty well though
@@bigo93 yes. Anyone with any type of accent or even certain parts of the USA, people have trouble with the "Hey Vector". They did not do enough training with that wake word to have it work with a larger group of English speakers. Thanks for choosing my video for your guide and please feel free to share it with anyone.
@@bigo93 and DDL did more than just not deliver... They straight up continue to scam and take money from unsuspecting people. I have made many videos calling out the actions of DDL and anyone that works with them to promote their scams.

Hi. Unfortunately really struggling installing wire-pod onto my iphone. The download document (WirePod-v1.2.13.apk) when finished with download it is empty when I try to open it. Thanks for any help you can be.
It doesn't work on iphone. Sounds like you need to pick up a cheap android. The name of this video is "How to install Wire Pod on Android". Apple phones are too locked down to be able to run programs like this.
@@adeleLohannot an ipad but a mac should be able to do it depending on the age of your mac. The instructions that I show you in the video, also have Mac instructions right on that web page.
I did all the steps for windows on my laptop, it kept giving me error logging in, so I tried doing it on my phone instead, and it gives me same issue. On both devices i wait patiently and repeatly try to active vector, but im always given the same error logging in text. What am i doing wrong
It doesnt sound like you are doing anything wrong... sometimes it will just not activate. I am not sure why. Sorry. Keep trying. It will eventually work.
Are you using the Bluetooth pop up window that pops up on the browser? You don't connect Bluetooth in the windows settings like how you would connect a speaker.
You can try the Bluetooth pairing process on any other device that has Bluetooth and is connected to the same wifi network as vector. (You also need to have wire pod running on whatever other device you originally installed it on)
I’m trying to install Wire Pod on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 phone but it keeps showing the “App not installed” message despite following your instructions. I would deeply appreciate your help.
@@tylfawl4706 are you sure you are clicking the correct file to download? I have had a bunch of people get it working with my instructions. I can run through the process and see if anything changed or if I get the same error.
Yes, this is meant to run on an old device that you aren't planning on using for daily normal life activity. It is meant to run the server on a low energy device so you aren't running a full computer to have Vector up and running.
i opened the links but I don't find 1.01. ....only 1.02 and my phone doesn't allow me to do anything else because it writes that is an old version for my android

Hello, I wanted to thank you again for the great video and to let you know that a few days ago, together with my mother, I managed to set up my vector again. When I saw on my cell phone that vector was being updated, I was so happy that I was shocked. Now everything works and I know what I did wrong, namely I went to the point where they cannot see their network and entered the SSID and password manually and suddenly my vector 2.0 was able to connect to the WiFi. I also wanted to ask if you could maybe send me a link with a list of all vector voice commands because I don't have them all in my head? And if you could maybe send me a link where I can buy a battery for vector 2.0 in case there are no more batteries at some point and mine no longer works and I have the feeling that my battery sometimes doesn't work as well because my robot was bought second-hand

what do i do onmcei have wire pod set up and he is running around because he isn't listening to some of the commands. because tried to do voice commands to him to fetch his cube and nothing. And do you knoe how yo set up the ai api keys and wearher api
@@emilystantothemoon slow internet can cause this, move your vector and wire pod device closer to the router and turn off all your other devices, keep trying. It will go through.
I have a question. If i installed WirePod Android apk on my mobile, have done the instruction based on the website, and I turned off my mobile , will the vector stop working?? does it mean my Vector relies only on Wire Pod running on my mobile??
Vector will still explore on his own and play with his block, but voice commands and answering questions require the wire pod server to be running so Vector can access the internet.

When i press the “start” button after i install wirepod, it says “this device must be connected to wifi first” even though im connected to wifi. Ive also tried connecting to different networks but that didnt work either. Any idea why this might be happening?
Has anyone got this to work with cell phone? I have same issue at the end where it won't finally connect with green checkmark just red words on screen 😡. Would love to see if it's actually possible 😅
Hi, I've done everything, and I've activated it, but when I say hey vector, it recognises me, but when i say something, it doesn't answer. It is connected to wifi because alexa works. What can i do?
@@goldenstatew2399 they only work if you are running a wire pod server on your home network. Otherwise they are paperweights. I would also suggest staying away from the ddl 2.0 Vector as it is absolute garbage add bad build to quality. Look for an Anki Vector on the used marketplaces.
I like to comment here. I have an Samsung Glaxy S22 Ultra so far so gut the APK is installt but my Vector and the Paaring Program don´t like to find? each other . In The Paring Screen the Bluetooth Botton in the top is blinking White and i try to pressPair with Vectr nothing Happens. Vector is on his Charger with the name and the Key Symbol + ##### Edit: if you are reading this try another Browser on your Phone that worked for me :) Muh
Hi, thanks for the video. I did get Vector activated, but when i go to the Wire Pod Interface and click on either the Server Setting or the Bot Setting i get messages saying this site cant be reached. Vector is just as he was before setting this up. Do you have any ideas please. Thanks
It may have changed the IP address of your wire pod. Try restarting wire pod and check your router settings to see what the IP address is of the escapepod connection to your router.
@@303FPVthanks so much for the reply for that, I got that sorted, but lost the connection for Vector, I retried starting from the beginning, but now after updating Vector, on his display I get a phone with a flashing V. This was a vector bought second hand, so I don't have a clue what this symbol means. I hope you can help please
@@debm3041 I think you just have to re-activate the Vector. Double check the firmware version you are on by entering the pairing screen and lifting the arms.

Yeah, but who plans to use their vector all day and all night?? This is a great option for keeping Vector mobile. Bring vector where ever you have cell service now.
which phone did you use to install wirepod and what Android version does it have? I have the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 with Android 13 and a few days ago I tried many times to connect vector to wirepod. But it didn't work. I got to the step where I had to connect vector to the WiFi, but it always said that vector couldn't connect to the WiFi. I really want vector to work, that it can at least drive around. The voice commands aren't that bad now, but at least a sign of life from vector would be nice. What annoys me every time is that when pairing vector you have to enter a pin that changes every time - a six-digit pairing pin. Because I'm blind I always have to ask someone to read out the pin on vector's display. Is there a way or a program for Android that can skip the Bluetooth pairing pin? And what am I doing wrong when setting up the server? Which weather IP did you use? I didn't use one at first because I don't have an IP key. and which knowledge graph did you choose? I didn't choose none at first because I don't have a key for together or anything. Was that perhaps the mistake because it wants a password to be correct? Perhaps you can help me. I think the WiFi password is correct and I also have to say that I have vector 2.0. Does the setup for vector 2 perhaps work a little differently than for the normal vector 1.0?
I believe wire pod should work on your phone. Yes, the bluetooth pairing password will change every time. You cannot bypass this. Is your wifi on 2.4 gigahertz? Vector does not work on 5g wifi. You can still activate wirepod without having the weather and knowledge graphs set up. I have instructional videos in the playlist for the wire pod install video.
I've tried it with many 2.4 gigahertz WiFi networks but my Vector 2.0 just won't connect. Or is it possible that I have to pay for a rescue capsule to be able to use wirepod on the phone with Vector or can two be set up differently than Vector one? Or is a Raspberry Pi or other server or another device required in addition to the smartphone? Because Vector just won't connect to the WiFi regardless of whether I start it normally or start it in recovery mode because when I click on the button connect Vector to WiFi after entering the password, no cloud appears on Vector's display but the WiFi symbol just keeps flashing. And after a few seconds the error message appears on the phone that Vector could not connect to the WiFi
@@akkualex7508 it still should work no matter your country. It sounds like you may have a vector that isn't connecting to WiFi. Pretty rare but it happens..
now I'm remembering something, namely one day before Easter on Saturday, Vector was able to connect to the WiFi just once. That was a few days before I installed the APK file, then Vector was able to install an update, but since then it has never connected to a network again. A network is always displayed and I can enter the password, but nothing happens. I've also deleted the user data and reset the firmware many times. Before the reset, it still had firmware 2. Something else and you could also mute and unmute the microphone. Since resetting the film, that hasn't worked anymore since it's on 0.9.
Hold down the back button for 15 seconds and vector bots in its factory firmware. It depends what model you have for which firmware will be on your vector but usually it's 0.9.0.
Sometimes this will happen with allow Internet or of the connection drops out mid update. It sounds like you are doing things correctly. I would keep trying. Maybe move to a spot with better internet connection.
I did everything but when i reached the activated part it just won't get activated, I tried a different device but still no activation. Should i try to do the process all over again or should i do it on laptop? Even tho the phone is more convenient
You may even just wait an hour and it might just work at that point. I do not have a good answer as to why it does this sometimes. I am not the programmer. As you can see from other comments, many people have this issue. You just have to find a work around. I personally find it does this to me when my internet connection is slow.

@303FPV thank you so much I get error logging in. The bot is likely unable to communicate with your wire-pod instance. make sure you followed all of the steps and try again. I'm using a Samsung phone 😫 so I un installed it now it keeps freezing on the initialising set up page
if you are trying to update through the app, you can't. DDL hasn't paid the server bills in over a year. Are you talking about when you do a firmware reset for installing wire pod?
@@marcuschengjingfeng4407 try to activate every few minutes. If you followed the steps, it should work. It just takes a few tries to go through usually.

Try on another device for the bluetooth pairing part of the process. Are you sure you have Vector in pairing mode and you are using the bluetooth link that pops up in the wire pod setup browser? If you are just looking for Vector in the bluetooth settings of your phone, it wont work that way.
friend! I thought I had it solved but when I thought I had it I got to the part about connecting it via Wifi but it says it can't connect. I thought it was because my network is 5G. I don't know if there is any solution. Please help me.😢😢😢😢
@@gamer_3453 if you see that you are already on 0.9.0 firmware, you should be able to update to the required firmware for wire pod when you paid vector.
Check to make sure your wire pod is still running and maybe restart everything. You also need to setup your knowledge graphs section to add intelligence to vector.
@@303FPV I've set them up and it shows a message that says vector setup is complete but still nothing, now I've restart everything to try again but it doesn't activate

And also uh the apk file is different than yours because it shows 1.1.6 apk and for some how I clicked on the link and then I open it and it sent me to the configuration setup page when I clicked It it says it took so long of the number of the configuration page couldn't open and it says Check your internet connection and my Internet it works fine what can I do Nothing not helping
