In this video I walk you through the start to finish process I use for this stack-able ring design. To help support this channel or to see more of my work check out: / raftark www.raftarkjew... / raftark
I would love to see more stackable ring tutorials!!! You are a wonderful teacher. I enjoyed the tutorials that I have watched. Your voice is pitched perfectly, soothing, and encouraging. You are easily understood with a smoothly timed pace to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I don't consider any of my approximately 2008 affairs with wire could be considered wrapping. I had no help or instruction of any kind. However, my daughter loved the full matching set of jewelry (ears, neck, wrist, finger, and ankle) that I made for her 8th-grade graduation. I do make jewelry, mostly necklaces, and bracelets, but I let the stones and crystal speak to me; colors, shapes, and sizes. This is the beginning of how to do the same with wrapping and weaving techniques. Just wire, wire, and undrilled stones. stone, and wire and drilled beads. Kimmy
Thank you for sharing this ring! Seen it around and always wanted to make it. Can you please just come in a little closer with your videos if you can. Love to see more videos. You make it look so easy.
Just did my first one in this style yesterday! Only thing different, is that I wrapped the 2 wires instead of the single wire coil on top. But I love your videos and they are easy to follow! Keep up the amazing work!
I like that little trick you snuck in there with the third wire. It closes up the side gap a bit giving the classic ring a different look. Thanks Nolan. PEACE!
I really enjoy, and learn a lot from, your tutorials. I would ask just one thing...could you please get the camera a little bit closer to your work? It would be so much easier to see what you are doing with the wires, and it would be especially nice to see a closer-up of the finished pieces. It is so hard to see the details when the camera is this far away. There are many of us who have older eyes, and closer-ups would be so much easier to watch and follow. THANKS!!
Once again a masterful video. Thanks again for your time and efforts to provide everyone with these techniques. I look forward to more stackable ring tutorials.
Thanks for all your beautiful work. This tutorial was very helpful exactly what I needed. Would love to see more stackable rings designs. Your tutorials are very easy to follow. Thanks for sharing 🦋
Love this tutorial, thank you so much! I would love to see more of this type of ring. My only issue is between not so great eyesight and poor lighting in my work space I have a hard time with the smaller gauge square and half round wires. Trying to make sure I'm working with the flat side down is a challenge. 😀
Me personally I would ha brought the core wires side by side. It leaves the ring band crooked. You avoid that by connecting both ends of the middle core wire the way your doing it. Or you can connect the ends of out core wires instead. If people don't have the extra wire to do the tie off, you can just loop the endings together. Those loops can also be used to hold a cavachon on with a nice flat surface underneath. I've made lots of rings myself.
I like your box you created to stay on camera lol. I LOVE your videos. The only suggestion I have is that your volume is really terrible. I have you all the way up and I can barely hear you! You have a great commentary voice haha. Turn it up so we can hear ya!!!
Please speak up! I've even got an external speaker for augmenting sound, and even it is pegged and I can barely hear you (and no, I don't have hearing issues -- most times I don't need the external speaker). This is excellent, clear instruction in this technique. What a beautiful design! Thanks so much for sharing!
i wish i started a long time ago doing this, it took me till im in my 50s to figure out how much i love to make jewelry of all kinds, the wire is hard on my hands but, i still try ,love your videos 👍
No need to minimize the fact that you are LOVING what you’ve learned by having regret and judgement on yourself and living in your past. Focus on the future and what you will do. Especially once there are fewer years in front of you than behind you. Since we cannot change the past, spending energy “wishing” that we would have is not only counter productive, it’s a huge waste of energy that could be put towards more future goal setting which would bring more joy.
This looks like a fun design, would love to see more stackable rings! Thanks for this design, I’m thinking I’ll try it to wrap shells. Could you show the ring up close at the end?
Thank you so much for all of your incredible videos and sharing your talent. I am always amazed by your intricate & gorgeous creations. This may seem like a silly question but can I use round wire to wrap around the square base wires or must it always be half round? I've never seen it done and it is probably for good reason but worth asking. Thank you so much.
Would be nice to know the ring size before starting, also the additional 18 gauge half round half way through was great. Watched this many times and never got that, especially when it came time for supplies. Thanks anyway.
Thank you for the detailed instructions. The video is both comprehensive and easy to follow. However I had a difficult time seeing the wires on account of the work surface that you were using. Perhaps if you used a dark cloth it would make the wires stand out more. Thank you again beautiful jewelry
love the project 💍is it possible to use standard bead instead of cabochon? I'd like to try making this ring but I only have ball-shaped beads at home and I'm afraid that the bead will be too high...
For rings I’d usually recommend trying half hard just so they hold their shape a little better. If you’ve never made one however, dead soft is a great alternative to help get the hang of where the wires go!
I have been trying several designs similar to this, but am using stones with pointed backs, any suggestions as to how I can keep it level and still secure it without changing the appearance of the ring?
Maybe it's just me, but the links you provided to your other videos don't seem to work. I will go find them from your channel list but thought I should let you know.
@@RaftarkJewelry I actually tried stainless steel wires but they're so hard to work with. But yours look so soft and easy to bend. What would you recommend other than sterling silver? Copper or aluminum?
Hola, buenas una consulta como se le llama a ese tipo de alambre, tengo entendido que algunos les dicen media caña pero nunca había visto una tan fina y maleable, alguien sabe como se puede encontrar en el mercado?
