In this video I'm unboxing and installing a battery monitor sensor for my car.
It was really easy to install and use. Its really helpful to have one of these so that you know when you need to charge or change your battery to ensure safe starts.
The price of the battery monitor sensor is about 15-20€ depending on what promotion currently is ongoing..

I was surprised you connected the BLACK negative first. The manual says RED first?? See 1.56 on your video.

Thanks for sharing battery monitor, btw correct me if I'm wrong...alternator charging at 15V is over charge.. it will kill battery life.. normal charging should be at lease 14.4V .

Between 13-15V is normal.

15v on the High side but it's normal. Some cars right down to 12.8 but id sat 13v to 15v just fine x

it depends on the battery. modern ones with ca-ca technology require higher charging voltage (especially at lower temperatures)

yes, no issues, Its on all the time its connected to battery.

Hur har den funkat nu i 6+ månader? Jag köpte den på rea för snart ett år sen, men krockade bilen Till skrot före jag fick dit den och sen har den blivit bortglömd.

Waste of money! I bought three of these BM2 Battery Voltage Monitors so that I can check on my batteries of my stored/parked vehicles as well as my daily driver in my garage and driveway and I wanted to be able to check them while sitting in my home. The range is about 12 feet as I have to be at my front door to get a signal. This is typical of Bluetooth devices where they state 10 meters or 33 feet but in unobstructed view, but not under a hood shrouded in metal. If I need to be that close to a vehicle, I might as well pop the hood and take a DMM meter to the battery.

Yeah, signal could be bad sometimes, but I found it convienient to not have to pop the hodd and find the multimeter each time…I only check the level if there is a longer period with cold weather and if I use the heater alot. Maybe the carmakers could include it in their apps in the future.

Long as there's a permanent live in the car it could be fitted in the car thus increase in range

Tell me WHY LOCATION needs to be turned ON for a more accurate reading. What BS! I always have my LOCATION turned off on my mobile phone. None of their effing business what my location is.

@@nordicgloss Well turn off LOCATION and see the message you get on the app, plus it won't record voltages till you turn on location again.

Moin, Funny here in Germany is a pretty much the same looking product under the name J..P Batt . Moni. x sold........ I had gotten the monitor for Christmas to make long-term measurements while driving to make faulty charge controllers (too high voltage, for example) visible. Or to have in winter the state of the battery voltage in view. Has worked exactly three times for a total of maybe less than 5 minutes of operation not even at idle but only as a batt guard...... Not a good relation to the price. Does as much as a fish that rides a bike. I can say for me, I never buy again. Contact with the "support" was nice but not very helpful. I would not recommend it to anyone and would not buy again. Too bad........ actually ne good idea.....
