www.gtacarkits... How to install a kit that enables Wireless Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto in Porsche Panamera 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 model years. The kit supports touch screen.
Just installed this tonight, this video made it extremely simple, thank you! Only addition I would make is to put emphasis on the direction of the ribbon cables running to the faceplate. I installed them backwards the first time so I didn’t have video but quickly figured it out and it’s up and running now. CarPlay was the only thing this car was missing. This unit is well worth the money if you want to keep the factory head unit!
I think I'm having this issue. Everything installed, module shows a blue power light, no power to screen. Gonna have to pull it out and re-run the ribbon cables with extra detail on the video.
Thanks for the instructions on how to remove the radio. I'm installing 10in Tesla style radio and I was trying to see an easy way to remove the speakers and this video helped a lot
Siri is not picking up my voice and I moved the fiber optic cable into the new plug but now when I am on the phone my voice echoes and the recipients say I sound far away. How do I fix this problem?
so I have a panamera that has one of these kits but it doesnt have the aux plug thing that you show at the end. my phone recognizes that apple car play is available but wont connect. is there a way I can get just the aux plug thing?
Hey man im located in the GTA , i seen your video for the honda civic play store installation. Little bit too high tech / risky for me, do you guys offer installing services? If you could reach back to me that'd be appreciated.
@@davidhenning9433 Yes, there are a few issues but overall I still like my receiver more with it installed than without it. 1) It doesn't come with any operating manual so there's a lot of options in the settings that you will have no idea what most of it is and im skeptical that many options in the settings are non functional. It just comes with a diagram and its not fully detailed. 2) There's no search mechanism for you music and video files. So, if you got 400 songs, you have to scroll through the entire list to find it. Unless you can ask Siri to play it but I haven't tried that yet. 3) Sometimes when you activate Carplay your navigation system will automatically create and start a route to anywhere for no reason. You simply have the press the stop route button. I've gotton use to it now. 4) The HDMI port does not work. I tried to connect a Roku stick and a FireStik to it. Neither one didn't do anything so I emailed Customer service. After several days of giving me the run-around, she finally told me the HDMI port function is not included which means it has no function. The HDMI port was the main reason I bought it. It's the first thing I seen in the advertising pictures. Mine was purchased through KJ-NAVI store so maybe buy it from a different retailer if you want a HDMI port that actually works. However, I really purchased the Carplay just to enable video-in-motion and it does play videos on the main screen stored on a thumb drive very well. I have about 100 videos stored on it. It also has Mirror-Link and will mirror your cellphone on the screen. I still enjoy the install a lot regardless of these issue.
Awesome video! btw can you add a backup camera on that module? my 2013 Panamera GTS only have park assist no backup camera.. planning to add carplay as well
hi does the original map still works after installing this module ? I'v seen another video where the pcm map isn't available anymore and the little screen next to rpm speedometer shows "map loading" forever. is it the case for you ? thanks !
No we do not, it is not necessary. As long as you don't stick are metal objects into the harness which you disconnect from the back of the stereo. Thank you.
Quick Question: everyone can hardly hear us from the mic we tucked away. The PCM 3.1 doesn't not play from the pre-installed MIC. Please help, everything is installed accordingly and we're having a hard time getting past this point
