About a month ago, I installed a wireless CarPlay adapter in my Mazda to see how well it works. Watch this video to see my honest thoughts about this device--what it does well, where it still comes up short, and how it compares to OEM wireless CarPlay.

Definitely always have a stand-alone charge option, especially one that can quick charge!

The factory wireless CarPlay in my ‘22 ND2 is great, but the battery drain on the phone is more than expected. I plug in the cable for drives over half an hour.

I bought the Cplay2air adapter and it works well. I work from home and get paranoid that my battery will die so I unplug the adapter each time a get out. 😢

Hey James!! You seem to be the Cx-30 pro. I have the basic 8 speaker system. It’s weak and I want a sub but don’t want to mess the interior up. Any suggestions?

I have this in my GTI, there are settings you can adjust to eliminate the stutter and input latency. Change frame rate to 20-25, change audio quality to CD. I found these settings to be the sweet spot between latency and usability. (Try setting frame rate to 1, it’ll be a slide show but there will be virtually no latency).

@@JamesPlaysWithCars Hi James, is your cx30 non turbo? I just got CX-5 non turbo loaner for few days and I'm impressed. Assuming the higher HP and less weight of cx30 how are you liking that drivetrain so far ? Really love CX-5 but exterior and interior feels a bit outdated compared to CX lineups. Finally has torsion beam suspension been an issue for you at all? I'm curious since you're coming from some great enthusiasts car in past.

ProClip sells amazing quality mounts that are custom for each car model and each phone model. They are expensive but genuinely a step above the rest in quality and custom fit. I just ordered a mount + phone holder pair for myself.

Hey how poor the rear view visibility is with cx30 I have booked one and confused about the visibility problem in CX 30

I find rearward visibility to be just fine if mirrors are set properly. The only visibility issue I’ve had is the wing mirror & A pillar combination-could miss pedestrians at crosswalks if you’re not careful.
