wow tysm! I wasn't expecting to get it yet after watching just one video and reading a few things online, but I understand it so much better now. I've never heard someone give such a good explanation of a semi-complex topic before :) --or at least, it didn't seem simple to me before haha. It was simple enough for anyone to follow, but you still went into the details to really understand what is going on, why, and how the variants interact. You're an excellent teacher!! Thanks for sharing this

the IC on both the receiver and Transmitter are for communication with the exception of the transmitter doing double duty as communication and Mosfet Driver, The comms portion of the transmitter is for Smart charging. the short pulses from the transmitter is basically the transmitter asking "Anyone there??" However it also serves as a non compatible object detection and will prevent charge mode. When that pulse hits the receiver it wakes its IC and responds "yes I am here, Start charging" once the handshake is made, it begins the charging process but also monitors the current draw from the device to be charged. The more the device tries to pull determines the Fast Charge state. If current is low enough it charges at 1Amp all the way down to 200mA. If supported by the transmitter "QC Fast Charge" the transmitter will send up to 2-3 amps depending on the QC level
