What is this noise with the mirfak ?

Some weird digital distortion. Mirfak reached out to me to say that it's been a flawed batch. Never had the chance to try this on another unit though.

I'm looking here and there at some of those types of Mics, especially that the Rode wireless go 2 (I think that's it's name?) has 1 receiver and 2 transmitters I thought it might be a good idea to try and reboot a podcast with a friend, we struggled with microphones that will get the 2 of us but it still won't fix our main issue to find a time and place to meet and do those podcasts without interruptions sadly. Honestly, I don't like the sound of the Hollyland, compared to your usual mic it's not as good I think. with the lav mic it's better, MUCH better! That lav mic is also in that kit? Comica sounds nicer from the beginning, didn't even notice a change when you connected the lav, which I think is great. I guess we don't need a comment on the mirfak right? lol BTW, try to check Saramonic, heard they are also good but never used them myself.

The Hollyland sounded a but worse because I didn't adjust the volume well. But it's also wonderful. Comica is very good too. Mirfak have reached out to me after the video and they claim there must be a problem with the device. Saramonic is a great brand, a friend uses one of their mics all the time. Not wireless though. As for the podcast - I'm sure people will like to hear you in podcast. Looks like some people don't have time for watching videos, but might find some time for listening while they are in their cars.

@@TechMishka I saw another video from a professional photographer testing the Hollyland, and indeed his unit sounded really well, he compared it to the Rode and in the end had the conclusion that though it's great, he prefers the Rode still. Regarding the podcast, it's totally on hold so, not sure if we will continue, we started it on Hebrew for local viewers... I mean, listners... well maybe one day...

The prices of these things are absolutely bonkers! Not suitable for anyone who's not earning money with them. What about a mic and a smartphone combo?

Yeah - the wireless transmission is always pretty expensive, because there are a lot of standards and approvals involved. And R&D as well. I am quite a fan of wired things anyways - and most often use the good old Zoom H1 recorder.
