‪@teenageengineering‬ EP-133 KO-II Sampler
‪@KorgOfficial‬ Nanokey Studio
Here's how you connect:
USB-C power to Uhost 'USB Power'
USB-C-to-C cable from Uhost 'USB Host/Device' port to 'USB' on KO-II
Connect to Uhost with a Bluetooth enabled MIDI controller by turning it on near the powered Uhost.
That's it!

I asked in the "One Louder" how it's done...wasn't expecting a whole-ass video about it. You rock, Yuri!

Nice. I have that same NanoKey Studio and my EP-133 is on the way. Guess I need to pick up the CME Widi UHost. I've got one of their MIDI interfaces that I use with my OP-Z so that's a no brainer to me. Thanks for the video.

I used the USB from TE to connect to the Bluetooth adapter. This setup you've shown is exactly what I was looking for. I'm sometimes seeking the correct chords or notes and the Nanokey will make this much easier than looking for that "sound" using the KO II pads.

I used to work with the daughter of the creator if MIDI; it was neat to be able to say MIDI was so well designed it was still on version 1. Now I see they came out with version 2 three years ago. T.I.L.

I saw another video of yours yesterday and was wondring the same thing... thanks for making a video so quickly. I've been going the route with mine using something like the Lekato 25 Mini or the RockJam 25 which is a bluetooth keyboard, but really just using it because it has the battery built in and then has TRS midi out on either of those units, so just a single TRS 3.5mm cable from one to the other and no other cables, and either one of those are Under $100 usd, the Lekato 25 midi around $60. I think I'd still like to look into the Korg you have but thought I'd share another option or two with minimal cables and no extra power required.

If you use the WIDI jack version, you don’t even need a power source which makes it a bit more portable.

do you notice any latency?

Love this! Is there a way to connect the nanokey studio to the KO II with a cable? Only because the CME Widi is out of my budget right now

Interesting! Do you see a way to sync the EP-133 with the OP1 field?

Sorry! I don't have a Dato Duo to mess with, maybe you could drop them a line? Wish I had one tho! Looks really fun

Hey, I have a Widi Jack that I am trying to use and it does not seem to recognize the Korg nanoKey Studio at all. How did you set up the app to work for this?
@yuriwongmusic

I didn't use the app, I just powered on the Widi Master (plugged it in) and powered on the Nanokey and they connected.

@@yuriwongmusic I ordered the same CME WIDI device you have (the USB one) to give that a try. So far I am getting nothing through my WIDI Jack going into the i/o of the KO2. I have tried switching a/b on it and nothing. Just as a warning for viewers. I will update once I have the new unit.
