Great design, but wondering why you took the wrapping wire off the base wire, clipped the tail and then put it back on? Why not just do all that in one step, leaving the wrapping wire on the base when clipping the tail?
Thank you! I tend to take it off the base wire so I can get a clean cut with a full loop to help hold the wire in place. I also make sure this is flat, so the end is directly in line with the rest of the wire rather than offset. I find this is the best way for me to keep it neat, but it can probably be skipped if you prefer.
