An outstanding video of an amazing scenic railway I'm proud to be a member; thank you so much for shooting it and share it. I love the black and white shooting of the run through freight train at Alna Center. Congratulations and come soon on the WW&F.
That was one of my favorite scenes as well. The antique car and the smoke coni out of the chimney at Alna center were so perfect. The WW&F is a magical place. I hope to come back soon!
Hi from Green Bay. GO Packers!! Do you have a mail car R.P.O. It would be great if you could catch the mail on the fly. Plus, have the station agent hoop up some train orders ok. Thank you. GOD bless the U.S.A!!!!!
It's a in-house copy of a 6 inch Portland Company style single note. It was made from patterns created from PortCo drawings by a WW&F member and machined by another member.
It is down, this was one of its last runs before its inspection. They are working on it now! The whole railroad is nothing short of a success story. Can’t wait to return.
Built by the Portland Company in 1891 in Portland Maine, locomotive 9 originally ran for the Sandy River Railroad as engine #5. It later operated on several different railways with different road numbers, such as SR&RL #6, Kennebec Central #4 in 1924, and as WW&F #9 in 1933. Acquired from the WW&F Railway in 1995 where it went through a twenty-year restoration, it returned to active service in the spring of 2016 where it now operates excursion trains for the railway.
