Imagine if you worked 3rd shift and got off work and could go to a bar and have a beer and dinner.

I spent a ton of time in that place as a kid. Back then, it was called "Pinky's". I lived 3 blocks away, and my grampa and I walked right past it to go fishing (a river runs a couple hundred feet behind the bar). Being a man who loved a can of Red White and Blue and a stiff pour of J. Bavet, gramps stopped there on the way home 100% of the time. Down where the pull tab machine is, there was a Flash Gordon pinball machine, and I'd get a hand full of quarters to pass the time while grampa BS'ed with the other regulars. EC has early morning bars because the town was once dominated by a Uniroyal tire factory. People got off work at bizarre hours, and naturally, they wanted to down a few old fashioneds and eat some fried curds.

I'm a coal miner and worked steady midnight the past 3 years. Every shift still rotates and I get super jealous at all the old timers reminiscing about the one hole in the wall that would be open after your shift 6 days a week with cold beer and a hot meal. Seems like a working man's dream.

Eau Claire has a population of about 70,000- not sure that qualifies as a small town in Wisconsin😉 The cheese curds looked amazing!

These bars that are open at 6am are awesome when pulling all nighters, close down a bar and go somewhere party til bar open again! Some of those bars are absolutely hopping in the am from people who haven't stopped from the night before, I remember being amazed at all the people you knew that you would run into that was still partying from the night before!!! That was so much fun, run into friends and just start laughing cause they stayed partying too!! Man those where fun and hilarious times!!!! Saturday and Sunday mornings were just hilarious with everyone still tearing it up from the night before!

For about 2 years of my life about 18 years ago I spent my mornings there, when I was refinishing floors in grocery stores out of college. I tried my best to leave by 10am and more times then I care to admit I stumbled out of there around 3. And I'm beyond giddy Renee is still there!

I might just have the midwest dive bar to beat all dive bars: The Log Cabin in Sioux Falls South Dakota. It's a bar in an old mobile home that is in a mobile home park and the outside has been clad in fake log cabin siding.

My favorite Bar and Renee is thee best bartender! Keeps us in line in a. M.

I worked for a French based company in North Carolina. We had a ton of people from Europe that loved watching soccer/football, we had one pub at the time that would open at 6am so that people could watch their favorite soccer team. I loved going to that pub, having one too many, and getting a great 3 hour nap at noon lol

The Do Dodge is a killer spot. Keep these bar tours coming!

I live in NJ and I wish we had more bars like this. Any decent bar is a packed cesspool on the weekends and it’s $8 for a beer

I quite appreciate this. As a pub lover over in England it's great giving a focus to all these great little places. Tbh more then anything the creators on RU-vid has really made me consider doing a little trip these areas in America that usually get over looked!!

Went to college in Eau Claire. There was a challenge to close down the bars on adjacent Water street and stay up to open Do-Dodge. Never made it. Also you could still smoke in there in 2014. Probably still can.

Years ago I was a morning bartender & many night shift workers were regulars, they called it their happy hour! It was handy for the bloody morning crowd as well, there were even some old timers waiting out front for me, to get rid of the shakes ..

In Superior, WI they have a club that does not close on New Years eve. They just keep partying all night. I didn't realize this and suddenly it was like 5am.

It's a great place to hang out I'm glad they made it there! Kind of cool seeing your bartender on the big screen.

In south central WI there is a bar called Pumpkin Center Tap. Located in Pumpkin Center (town of Juneau) opened 7 days a week with daily specials. Right across from a gun range. Pull tabs, gambling machines, and a punch board. Train tracks across the north side of the parking lot. Bar tenders are top notch and put the loudest nobs in their place. Cant go wrong any day of the week

Cindy B's bar and grill in Clintonville,WISCONSIN. Fire fighters from across the nation come to this bar if they are in the area buying a fire truck from one of the near by manufacturers. You are met with a smile from the owner and entertained the entire time and made to feel like a regular.

Broker's in Rhinelander. Quaint, cozy, and friendly staff! Pickled eggs at the ready!

Right down the street is Ray’s place in Eau Claire. Over 70 years old and known for hot beef sandwiches and homemade horseradish mustard.

Worked 3rd shift at the Nestle plant. This was 1 of 3 locations we went to after we got off work at 7am. The other places we went to were the VFW and Tailgates (now closed). Nothing better than a 7am happy hour.

I always watch food shows during cardio and this show would make time fly

6 am was standard in 3rd shift steel mill country. Bar was usually a block or two from the mill. Shot and a beer before you walked home another few blocks. At 6 am you could still clean up the place before the rush at 8 am.

We have bars that open at 5am and close at 2am (the 5am opening is due for the hospital workers that are just getting off from work and want to have a drink (which makes sense)

Super weird and cool bar in Wisconsin is in Elkhart Lake at The Brown Baer. Classic Wisconsin neighborhood bar with some of the most random things and people you can imagine.

Whenever I see Miles do videos I always picture him describing these as his “what I’m gonna do when I grow up” dreams to his dad and his dad being like Son, that’s not something people get paid for. You need to get a job

I did work 11p-7a for years, and did go to the bar right afterwards till about 10a. There was always a morning crowd!

My wife worked 3rd shift at Harley in Wauwatosa and they would go to Kips inn in west allis for beers on Friday they opened at 6 am too 👍👍🤠

You know someone isn't from WI when they're surprised by bars opening at 6-8 AM 😂. Not all obviously, but some open up early just so the same people who closed it 4-5 hours prior can come in and have some hair of the dog that bit em' before they go about their day. It's all but uncommon here to have your still half buzzed co-worker come in at 9 AM still reeking of booze lol. Edit: For those who dont get how heavy the drinking culture is here compared to say, orange county CA (where I originally came from), I live in a quiet residential area in a small town, on the outskirts of a bigger city. Of the 7 businesses within walking distance of me, 4 of them are bars, 2 gas stations and one grocery store/pharmacy...in a residential area of maybe a couple thousand people tops.

I love the small town bar series as well. If you are around Kaukauna you need to stop at Rose Hill Bar and Grill.

You know, I used to work first shift (0000-0800 for those who mistakenly call second shift/day shift "first") and got off at 0800. Was always great to find a place like this that would be open and serving dinner food and drinks instead of always having to eat breakfast for dinner.

In Wisconsin, if you live/work in a small town with manufacturing that runs 3 shifts, you'll find a lot of bars open at 6.

I used to work third shift, and sometimes I would walk out of a gas station and get insanely nasty looks from parents when I had a 6pack of coors to go home with me. Don’t care what job it is, no one respects the third shift. This bar gets it. Well done

I live in small town Missouri and my top 5 best memory is my 22nd bday (2002) starting the the day at a local bar at 6 am with full breakfast and shots of tequila....ended up back at that same bar by midnight...just sounds exhausting now. Back then just an awesome day of all day drinking

In Shiner TX, everyone likes to go to the brewery, but there is the perfect small town bar there called Shiner's on 6th. Awesome little place!

Esofea Country Club(AKA Bad Axe River Country Club and Gardens) outside of Coon Valley, WI. It has a disc golf, greenhouse, and bar all in one. Watch your mouth, there is a swear jar!

I went into the service with Norm Dodge in 1965, and still go to the Do Dodge. You need to go out to The Birch Point Tavern , on Marshmiller Lake.

Cleveland area, Euclid Ohio. " Skinnies ", home of Viking Burger ! Great food, and small joint. Excellent place to grub down.

Fisher’s resort bar and grill in the north woods of Rhinelander Wisconsin!!! I grew up going to a resort that is since gone that was next to it. Just a great small time vibe!!

Our parents used to take us to the bar down the this for dinner all the time. My dad's best friend lived right next to it. They would pay pool and we would ask eat. They had really good food too!

When I lived in Jersey we used to have bars that opened up at 6:00 we called them third shift bars for the third shifters at the factory. Some were more wild than the regular night bars.
