Hailey mier cows have to milked twice everyday and someone has to do it. And most Americans today refuse to do farm work. Mainly because is hard demanding work for minimum wage, and wages aren’t going too get any better for farm workers when the farm operator them self’s barley make minimum wage.

But to think that the main source behind our country being inundated by illegal immigrants on foot (ie: crossing the border) is only part off the problem. Many illegal immigrants actually enter our country LEGALLY! What happens all to often though, these once legal visitor's, workers, students, etc. will simply over stay the visa's that our government had originally granted to them!

The dairy industry is one of, if not the, most highly subsidized industries in America. Most subsidies go to large dairy farmers, like the gentleman in this video. Asking the taxpaying American citizens to ante up for food stamps, medical and social services is just more subsidy. This is patently unfair, and needs to stop. When I lived in Texas in the 70's, seasonal workers would hop over the border, work for a while, send most of their money ( which was and still is mostly paid under the table) back to Mexico, and go home after the work was done. This was not as bad, as we taxpaying citizens weren't on the hook for social services. Now we are. This is simply part of Democrat plan to "fundimenally change" our country, voiced by Obama but in the works for many decades. More people on public assistance, voting liberal/ socialist to maintain their bennies. Chronic welfare recipients, beneficiaries of cheap illegal labor, and moonstruck labral snowflakes need not reply. If you pay taxes, are here legally, and use logic, I'll listen.

A country is not a business, and no good comes from it when a country elects business men to try and run the country. It reduces people to resources which doesn’t differentiate between a human being or a wrench. Which is why businesses are happy to do out sourcing - anything to drive costs down. This includes tax avoidance and cutting worker benefits and wages where ever they can. This is not what a rational person would aspire for themselves or their country. If you do aspire to this, then you have no place complaining about healthcare being unaffordable, schooling for your kids being unaffordable, etc. Because in the business world if you can’t afford it you either borrow, can’t have, or go bankrupt.

I credit this reporter for at least attempting to be fair. But still she interviews Trump voters (in fly over country) as if she's in a foreign country. Liberals lost the working class, that's why 3 solidly blue states flipped to Trump. That's why the 2016 was quite remarkable. We voted based on ideas.....not because a candidate was a woman or a man. I would really like to have an updated interview because my guess being the daughter of a dairy farmer ( BTW my father has a MBA and my brother that runs the farm was working on his master's degree so highly educated) would DEFINITELY disagree with what they are saying. Trump was HORRIBLE to farmers. I wouldn't be surprised if this family farm is on the brink of closing.

A lot of former Democrats have wakened to the fact that, starting with the Clintons first administration, great promises were made around election time and never came to pass. Yet every four years they came around asking for support, with dead silence in between. Hilary Clinton felt so entitled to our vote shd never bothered to come, even when our Democratic primary results showed we preferred someone else to her. I'm like thst first farmer. I don't know what I am now, but the current Democratic party revolts me. As for the second farmer, pay time and a half for working the holiday shifts andvyou will find plenty of native born Wisconsinites to come milke the cows, because most of us know it has to be dome, unlike desk jobs. Capitalism works on the balance between labor and ownership. The influx of cheap, undocuments labor exerts a downward pressure on wages, which is why Big Business secretly loves it.

@theuglykwan, Yes consumers will pay more, but they very well may not have too. From overbearing taxes and duplicative burdensome regulations being eased many small business owners will be able to absorb the increased cost of labor. Just stopping the war on coal will have a massive impact, the small factory I work for right now pays a monthly energy bill of around $20,000. Turning our power plants back on and lowering the cost of energy will have a very positive results.

Billie Brown So why are you against dairy farming? Other than the fact that the surplus male calves end up as one kind of food or another. But that is natural for large ruminants. They convert grass into usable protein and the surplus males are preyed upon by carnivores or omnivores like ourselves. If the Almighty designed us this way, who am I to question it, as long as the animals are treated humanely. My cats are obligate carnivores, and it would be wrong of me to starve them by denying them the meat they need to live. Why am I morally wrong for doing the same in moderation myself?

My great grandparents came from Prussia to Canada in 1880s. Thank God the went south to America! America did not want involved in WW1 nor WW2 but without the U.S. your all speaking German!!
