@@torquetrain8963 EMDs ELCOs, & others. Most harbor towboats use engines not much bigger than truck engines. My younger brother was an Army tugboat engineer & he kept telling me "those are f***ing truck engines." Yeah,maybe so but I can move 7 barges with this little bitty 600 hp towboat. That impresses railroaders that I carry in my crew van as we discuss the differences between towboats,river barges & trains with their respective cargo capacities.
