That happened to my momma and the numbness was indeed permanent in her case. It could happen to me, too, because I have the same curvy roots she had. If you're in our situation, ask about doing a coronectomy (removing the crown of the tooth but leaving the roots to minimize nerve damage).
I had all those wisdom teeth out 10 years ago and now some of my molar teeth gets gapped with the following tooth and makes every food I eat become stuck in between and sometimes it causes pain. Talking about nerve on the jaw, I didnt experience numbness, but more like recurrent sensation of tired and burnt inner cheek muscle. It lasted until around 3-4 years after the removal.
@@lvna_msNo you’re talking about central nervous system nerves. The majority of lingual nerve injuries are temporary. After eight weeks, approximately 90 percent of the injuries heal on their own. If the injury lasts longer than six months, the damage is probably permanent.
That would ve been amazing, just got my lower wisdom tooth from right side out, let me tell you, the gum is fine, but i feel like someone is shoving nails into my jaw where the tooth was. If it went numb would ve been a blessing.
@@aaliyah9832 I'm fine thank GOD! And I'm finally able to eat without being concerned of food getting stuck inside!(cleaning my teeth was pure pain w/ 2 brushes, solutions, saltwater syringe..) I'm glad I only did one side and I'll probably wait another month before doing the other one just to make sure the hole has completely shut.
They told me the exact same today.. my procedure was about 6 hours ago and I have absoulutely zero feeling in my bottom jaw/low lip starting to freak out a little I’m gonna go to bed and wake up and if it’s still numb I will cry😬
Just had 2 wisdom teeth removals on one side and while I have no pain anymore and the stitches are gone I still have trouble with yawning with my mouth all the way open 😢
I extracted my bottom right wisdom tooth 4 days ago, and I feel numb in the -right side- half of my lower lip and chin ...which is irritating! I hope it's not permanent otherwise Imma 💀💀
@@sundasimran8977 Still numb down my chin on the right,my lower lip is almost back to normal,I can feel when I pinch . I guess it's temporary just like my dentist said last time I went to remove the stitches!
Just got mines pulled on last week of February 6th and I still feel numbness on the right side of my jaw on the bottom it’s like what’s going on I hope this not happening to me because a lawsuit will be filed
My wisdomtooth on my upper jaw was extracted 10 days ago, but half of my jaw on the right side (tongue, lips, etc) are still numb, and it's impacting my speech. Can this also be possible for the upper jaw?
