The first Djin from the first movie could shoot his brains out, but this guy gets hurt from punches? Wow.

Notice in the first movie simply rubbing it wasn't enough, it was the main character breathing on it that actually connected the djinn to her and rubbing it was only the release after that.

I actually liked the inclusion of wishing for another supernatural entity to help defeat one supernatural entity.

This is the one series that needs a serious reboot.

Funny, rather than using blackmail to get what he wanted, why didn't the Gjinn just coerce the prof into wishing that he could have an affair with his student, since he clearly knows that he wants her? 'Cause that likely would have ended up ruining his life anyway and would have better conveyed the "be careful what you wish for" message. Then again, I'm probably asking too much of this franchise.

Something I think you missed. The djinn cut off the teacher's face, but his body was still found. Didn't they run fingerprints? Wasn't anyone surprised when he showed up to teach his class the day after his mutilated body was found?

This djinn looks like Davros. The bad looking one when they hired a new actor but used the old mask that didn't fit right.

The filipino horror film Feng Shui makes more sense then Wishmaster, because the Bagua mirror claim a sacrifice with every good fortune it provide to the owner, the Djinn claim the souls of all of the people that make wishes.

Yes, these days they make the 'main' characters as annoying as possible so you root for the bad guy and enjoy the elaborate death scenes. Its all ass backwards.

I like to think it's a different Djinn, only to spare the good name of the actually good one. While this one just sucks.

They made the Djinn into a slasher villain basically, but one that needs you to tell him to stab you...

Part 2 was bad, but at least Divoff was still in it and it still had somewhat of a straight-to-video budget. Part 3 has bad cast, bad story, television-level production values, and it's by far the worst of the bunch. Part 4 is also bad but in a "what were they smoking when they came up with this Highlander ripoff" way, which immediately at least makes it more memorable even if in a bad way.

I think with Wishmaster what you have are 'spiritual' sequels and not necessarily direct sequels. Kinda like what they did with the Warlock movies. Though I will concede... the powers that be were not exactly delivering on that premise either.

Third degree burns don’t bother her? Maybe she’s a welder. I get third degree burns all the time (yeah they’re tiny from flying spatter, so it’s not horrific mutilation), but if she were a welder, it’d make this movie more interesting. Or at least, have some plausible explanation for why she took those flames like a champ. Hey, at least the film would be explaining something that has meaning to it.

Imo, Wishmaster 3 is the absolute worse of the franchise. Yes, the fourth entry was God-awful, but if there’s anything one thing I can’t stand it’s those sappy happy/romantic endings between couples. I actually wouldn’t mind if both boyfriend and girlfriend survived, if the ending wasn’t so fucking sappy, which is pretty much what every horror film does (even the good films). And I love how despite losing their close friends from the situation the couple can be happy so long as both of them are still alive. There have even been films where the lead character loses his/her parents or family members but as long as the love interest is still alive, fuck it, it’s all good.

I was ok with the first and second. When I watch the last, I couldn’t stand it. Specially the pepe Le pew chase. Ya there is a scene where our main girl and the now micheal angel run away while, the ginne slowly walks after them. I must have given up on it because I don’t remember anything after the girl wanting her “heart broken”. ...wait... there was a forth movie?

I started a wishmaster marathon and didn't get past the first 10 minutes of this one.

This is the kind of movie that makes me sad it took so long for Internet reviews to come around. They saved me so many hours and money renting movies that were really not worth it :( Yeah, I saw this abomination years ago and boy was I underwhelmed. At least the second one had some things going for it - despite its drop in quality and I got it for free with the first one.

So guess the final question is, are you a fan of the movie or not? Feel you wasn’t clear 😂 😆 🤣! Great review dude! Glad I’m not only one who hated that film!

My issue with this whole Djinn make up budget constraints nonsense is well dumbasses while he is in the fuckin make up and suit get as many scenes as you can done even if half of them get cut at least you have them to work with hell most movies end up with a dozen or so scenes that aren't used

I understand that you might not like some movies, but I don't enjoy watching you rant about the writers. They made a bad movie, it's not a reason to call them smallminded, stupid etc.

I can seriously remember being EXTREMELY disappointed with this movie the first (and last) time I saw it. I've seen low budget movies on Sy-Fy with a better story and cast! :/ And yeah, the angel thing really pissed me off. The first movie managed to tell an engaging and likable story without dragging overblown religious bullshit into the mix, but I guess the filmmakers of this film couldn't be bothered to be that creative. And once again they dragged the WRONG FREAKIN' RELIGION into this! Is the Archangel Michael even mentioned in the Quran?!
