The MC and the FMC's love is not one sided, they both love each other but there are other girls that like him, but it's so subtle you wouldn't even notice (there's also only two of them if I remember correctly, and the other one just seem to respect him), their status doesn't make it possible for them to get together, and that's MC's goal

That one yes That's the only one I know is heavy. The others like greatsword? Trust me, the speed of it swinging is faster than you swinging your sword for 2nd time. Heavy weapon like greatsword is all about utilising the momentum as power. You can find videos of people using actual technique of handling greatsword alike heavy weapon on RU-vid. Historically accurate too.

A weapon of that blade size and weight have many weakness. Mobility and changing pace of swinging. You could easily throw yourself off balance if not careful. That makes greatsword the perfect choice. Fast swing, balanced posture, heavy attack, quick to change stance.

The problem is the recoil after the impact for the great sword. the mobility too and it worst enemy is the environment it self if the place is have to many obstacles it will be difficult for greatsword user to make a stance and even worst by that it will difficult to him to attack perfectly. Yeah If you got hit you will instant death but the risk to use that is higher too like if he fighting the spear one he guaranteed to die like sword user have greater safety than great sword if he fight against spear user

@@omarathas5329 never played 5e, only 3/3.5/Pathfinder when it comes to DnD. But allot of World of Darkness and Exalted and there i can say that the fighter builds keep the mage builds their peace for doing their shenanigans. You just don't want your Tremere getting into an infight with that Garou, thats what the Brujah is for. 😉

@@blank7006 Kinda, it's nothing ground breaking it's similar to Black Clover in the sense that the mc can't use Magic in a world where Magic is everything for humans and he fights with swords. The character designs are pretty good as well as the fights.

If your wondering about what makes this series unique it's because of progression, this series doesn't really put emphasize on "The Mc can't use magic and is the underdog" troupe, y'know how annoying in the black clover gets because asta gets underestimated a lot by nobles despite he is literally the counter of magic, in this series he gets the attention he needs a lot faster and his enemies doesn't underestimate him so the fights gets entertaining because of the sword and wand system, the plot while it may not be original as a power fantasy it's entertaining atleast, the Mc is really likeable because of his humble demeanor but is always competitive, the plot progression is good enough, the romance is actually really cute especially the Mc and ice mage tho they didn't have any interaction see similar to 86 where the early part of the series focuses on them meeting and having their intentions connect

I don't think it's the first, but it definitely held a very popular position within the LN community for a good while. Long enough that a new generation of anime viewers would come to existence. However, I think we can trace it further back if we try and find out what anime-manga-light novel was the first to use this trope.
