It’s back! My ever popular witch’s almanac for all the traditions, the rituals, the practices that you can do throughout the month of May. This is witchcraft that everyone can follow, whether you are a baby witch or a more seasoned practitioner, my almanac shows you how a traditional witch would practice the craft as well as the more modern.

My mother was born on May 3rd. She struggled with illness all her life...yet I have never met a stronger willed woman. She definitely had ability with animals...she was known as the, "Cookie Lady", with all the dogs and cats in the neighborhood. They would come to the house and just wait until she came out to greet them with treats and attention. She never had to train an animal...they would just do as she asked. She wasn't perfect...oh heck no...but she was someone so strong, the pain she lived everyday of her life...some will never fathom. Miss you😢❤😢. My father, was born May 11th...what an absolute stubborn, sometimes unmovable man...He's trapped in his own body now with Parkinson's and multiple surgeries due to his wild youth...I try to cheer him with nature things...he ALWAYS wanted to be an old mountain man. I am a June Gemini....my sisters were both right-handed, where I am ambidextrous like my Mother and Father. Just want to share. I miss her so much.

I’m Native American/Indigenous and during springtime in my tribe we celebrate our new year. I see lots of similarities within the Morris Dancers and our dances, we have shells on our ankles that make noise while we dance, and bells around our waists. Happy spring everyone!

Thank you for speaking up about witchcraft I don't know why it's so controversial, the other day catholics were giving out pamphlets about the church I told them I was a witch and they were disgusted, I don't understand the hatred and why they think we are evil, we are people just like everyone else but with mystical outlooks and love for nature 🤎

The Catholic church is the most witchy of all churches--they literally believe the wafer and wine ARE the body and blood of Christ, the incense is waved down the aisle to purify the space, they say spells (prayers), etc. They are such hypocrites acting like Witches are bad.

My paternal grandmother was from the southeastern corner of Alabama. There’s a variety of hawthorn that only grows in that region. Every May, she would get the berries from it, called Mayhaws, and make delicious jam from them. One of my favorite childhood memories.

Im born May 1st. 52 years young today. I’ve always been fascinated and drawn to mystical and magical things. The fairies are my favorite of them all 🧚‍♀️ it wasn’t until I was older that I realized being born on Beltane is what draws me near and it so dear to my heart. Wishing you a Happy Beltane. Just found you. Baby witch here. Found out years ago that I have Romani gypsy blood from my great great grandmothers side. I have brown grey eyes that are usual from where I come from. Hence not surprised by my deep interest in spells and spirituality. Thank you Ginny 🙏❤️blessed be🙏

When you said you live in Devon all the bells went off in my head! I’m an American and have recently been tracing my lineage, trying to connect to my unknown Celtic ancestors. I’ve found a very long branch of my family tree that lived in Devon for centuries. During my research I came across a footnote about Devon, “British tribal name, Latin Dumnonii, perhaps meaning 'worshipers of the god Dumnonos”. There isn’t a ton of information out there about Dumnonos that I’ve come across so far. I would love to see a video from you discussing topics like that and other folklore specific to that area. I know it’s sort of niche, and you already have tons of great traditions packed in your videos. Thank you so much for your work. I’ve been a viewer for a while now. You make me feel connected to a spiritual line that has been scrubbed away for generations. Hearing you’re from Devon really solidified that.

Hi Ginny, the Obby Oss symbolises winter and is led through the town by the teaser dancing in front of it to bring in summer. They are followed by the Merrymakers that play and sing the Maysong. It is said to bring fertility if you are female and pulled or caught underneath the skirt of the Obby Oss! It's a bit scary. There is a red and a blue Oss and they come out of their 'stables' which are pubs at 10am and go back at 10pm. However the celebrations start the night before. Mayday is more important than Christmas in Padstow. 😍

I am fascinated by the intertwining of Biodynamics with witchcraft, or ...tapping inbto the source. Met and seen so many BD people, it impossible to ignore the correlation. The Unseen is all around us, concentrated here and there, manipulated by Lodges. I'm not interested in ritual, I have an a distinct aversion -but there is force , feminine and nurturing behind all life, and she deserves worship and appreciation.... partnership. Hi Ginny, I’m new to your channel. I have been told that I come from a long line of witches based on my astrological natal chart. Not sure if you are into astrology. I have mixed feelings about this because I feel like witchcraft has a negative connotation. I would have to practice in secret due to cultural reasons. I have been accused of being a witch by people that don’t even follow astrology. I guess I’m writing for feedback on how to proceed. Seems like cleansing and protection are things I need to learn first. With you being so open as a witch, how do you deal with scrutiny and being ostracized?

I think the America Federation of Astrologers teaches classes. There are similar organizations in the UK and Australia. The Guides Astrology Workbook by Stephanie Caponi is a good starter book for Tropical Astrology. If Ginny teaches Astrology, it will probably be listed on her website.

I am 24 male my great-grandmother was a witch on my mother's side. But never taught my grandma and my mom. But I started to learn on my own since I'm going through my crap in life I believe in spiritual aspects of life and I felt like I was being called into witchcraft my first spell was a cord-cutting ritual because I couldn't let go of my toxic ex that been in my life since I was 15 in 24 now btw im male i did it twice first time outside and second one blew up in my face and caught on fire. I felt like it worked out

As an American of Celtic ancestry, I am drawn to Celtic paganism. I love your videos because they are so informative and, basically, from my ancestral home. But I live in an urban setting in Southern California, which means Hawthorn and Rowen do not grow here, palm trees grow here. Is there a magical substitute for the magic of Hawthorn and Rowen in warmer climates? Also, on Beltane morning finding dew for face washing was a challenge. In my urban setting, grassy areas are used for doggies to relieve themselves and are in no way appropriate for gathering morning dew to wash one's face with. I did eventually find a suitable source of morning dew, but from a shrub that was inaccessible to the doggies. Not all of us have the luxury of private outdoor spaces, do you have suggestions for urban dwellers - including cities such as London?
