Witchcraft: The "Male" Perspective 

Hey everyone! So this video has been doing well and I’m so glad it’s reaching people. However, it’s not one of my greatest videos tbh. As you can tell it’s messy haha. I have felt a little disconnect from my practice since I came out as a trans man, because I don't want to do anything that could invalidate my identity, it's really important to remember that my spirituality was part of the reason I had the courage to pursue this, so thanks for making this video.

I’m a guy and I’m heterosexual. About a month ago I just started looking into Witchcraft out of curiosity ( more of a ‘pull’ in hindsight ) and within about three days, I experienced a life changing connection to “All” and knew right then that I am a ‘Witch’. On that note - anyone who says Witches can’t be guys can argue it out with the Universe because it was the Universe who informed me of the matter 🤣 Side note: some of this, I think, comes down to labelling... unfortunately we kind of have to, as humans, label things so as to define them so that our brains can put it in a box. A ‘Witch’ is just someone who is in tune with God / the Universe / Energy ( whatever / whoever ). That said, women ( or those with strong feminine energies ) are generally more in tune than the masculine. Also, it’s kind of more socially acceptable for a woman to be a Witch than it is a man... and for those who are gender fluid, they may not want to publicise something else to put themselves on the fringes of society ( Mother God bring light and comfort to those poor souls who suffer in that way ). So, seeing or knowing about only a small amount of male witches doesn’t necessarily mean that there aren’t a whole lot more... And it’s videos like this ( thank you for your courage by the way ) that might mean a few more men come out of the Broom Closet! Let’s hope!

I’m a heterosexual trans guy, and I’m glad to find another guy in the witchcraft community. I don’t often find witches that are men. In fact, the only part of the spiritual community that is majority male is the Norse pagan community (and there’s unfortunately a lot of Nazis in those spaces). Over time, I found a good spiritual community online that isn’t fascistic, and has different types of spiritual beliefs (though it is majority Norse pagan). I’ve always thought Loki and Odin were some of the coolest deities in mythology. Mostly because they went against gender norms in their myths, and weren’t afraid to be themselves. Odin was referred to as ergi (which is a Norse derogatory term for feminine traits) in his myths because he practiced a stereotypical feminine type of magick, but was still the king of the Gods. And Loki shape-shifted into a female form often, and even gave birth to children. Their stories inspire me to pursue spirituality that is considered feminine, despite my gender identity. Because of this, it’s always jarring to come across N*zis in the pagan community.

Screw those who said you can't. Go nurture your duality to your hearts content cuz that shit is very important. I'm a male witch , where I am they aren't common. Mainly I'm the only one in the area. All my cousins are female witches and my mom is a medium 🙂 And no anyone can be a witch regardless of gender 😉

I cant do it. I'm only 4 minutes into this video and his inability to articulate proper sentences is driving me up the walls. Do a tangent, call out what you want to call out but collect your thoughts before you record cause I can't follow what the heck you are trying to get across and it's annoying. The goofy noises and waving hands around and the constant giggling pulls me right out of whatever he is trying to say.
