you know O’Dimm is powerful, when he jump off the tree and took no damage.

If Geralt jumped off that tree just like Gaunter did, he'd break every single bone of his and died in agony.

Main story - best set of characters Hearts of stone - best villain Blood & Wine - best world/region

O dimm: * gives Olgierd a heart of stone. Olgierd: * is stripped out of emotions and thus can't feel a debt of gratitude * O dimm: and I took that personally.

This game has so many hidden scenes in it. I never even thought this might be one.

I could listen to Gaunter O'Dimm talk all day. Fabulous voice actor, great writing.

Well, O’Dimm never did specify that you can’t meet Olgierd before their meet-up at midnight. So why is he surprised?

2:36 - 2:43 Gaunter did kind of describe himself. He called Everec a vicious, heartless bastard while he differed on a very little scale, but he is so charismatic as to convince you that he is the good guy. I love it.

Gaunter is a true masterpiece from CDPR creation, he can be both fearsome and look powerful even dressed as a commoner. I found HoS better than BaW and even the main game itself.

"You will lack neither food nor drink" -> Most likely you'll be eating and drinking endlessly, have never ending shits and will eat till you explode "As a Witcher you might desire weapons supreme - I can offer you those you've dreamt off" -> Geralt might've had a dream where he was wielding a big shiny stick of wood, who knows. "Your body - agile as never before" -> Might also mean you'll be even less agile you've ever been before "Your mind - faster than lightning" -> If you're going at the same speed as light, time doesn't go by and your mind is therorically stuck in time. Now faster than light, Gerlat could hypothetically have his mind going in reverse, which would probably make him crazy and literally lose his mind. "Romantic prowess to charm all womankind" -> What if he comes out gay in the process or accidentally trips and falls on a wooden spoon, inexplicably cutting off his dong Gaunter is already trying to lure you in

Hes actually scarry , siting up on that tree looking down at you , slightly irritated with you for standing him up which can be deadly , if you remember the incident with the spoon. i think if he really didnt need geralt he would have taken his soul right then and there.

As bad as it can seems, i always side with Gaunter cause he's right. He never cheated, kept his promises, never actively tried to kill you if you don't cross his way. Also he is fair somehow, Olgiert signed a contract with a higher entity, what did he expect, an Expecto Patronum? He chose to research and do rituals without talking to Iris, imprisoned his wife in their home, tried to involve her soul in that trading, surrounded her with horrifying entities, sacrifice (unwillingly but he did) his brother, killed her father, actively tried to get Geralt killed even after meeting him, abandoned his wife, left her in fear and let her heart explode so she died alone to became the incarnation of sadness and somewhat he managed to disappoint her even in death having the AUDACITY to NEVER show up to try to save her soul. What do you expect? Empathy? I free the poor girl and the creatures imprisoned, but he? He deserved that ending.

1:53 -- "A man who refuses to pay his debts". This phrase comes off as a direct threat, given the context of the video.

Olgierd's story reminds me of Edmond Dantes. A wretch brought back by a miraculous fortune, yet loses the girl even so. It's a much darker Count of Monte Cristo.

I can’t help but notice some similarities between Gaunter and the Happy Mask Salesman from the Zelda series. Both come to the protagonist as friendly strangers when the hero is in need of help. Both claim to be traveling salesmen. Both possibly can manipulate time. We know Gaunter can and it’s theorized the mask salesman had something to do with Majora’s Mask’s whole time plot. Both are mysterious and are believed by many fans of their respective series to be god-like beings disguised as humans. We know this to be true with Gaunter but it remains to be seen with the mask salesman.

Manupulative bastard! But, yet.. I really love him as a villain. :D

I would enjoy reading the various contracts in G.O.D's satchel. also, I would indeed enjoy a choice at the end of Hearts of Stone where one could significantly reduce fall damage.

Gaunter O’Dimm is practically the G-Man of the fantasy world. Just by the way he says “associates” really clicked with me.

When I encountered the Unseen Elder in Toussaint, I thought I'd run across the most powerful creature in the Witcher universe. Then I met Gaunter O'Dimm. He makes the Elder look like a pussycat.

Woah this was my original scene exactly and I must say I never realized how epic it really was, time for a rerun.

I got this scene on my first play through by accident. I was on my way to a side-quest and I passed the manor so this triggered, than I felt compelled to just go with it for a while

Right now, I am preparing a D&D 5e campaign based off of Chaosium's 'Masks of Nyarlathotep' from Call of C'thulhu 7e. I am using our beloved, not-at-all-a-degenerate-monster, Master Mirror, as the character template for the Crawling Chaos itself! It just seems like too good a fit

People said O'dimm scamming you when he said weapons supreme. People also forgets that you get three really unique weapons in this expansion, 2 of them you get if you stood against him. O'dimm did not scam us, he merely never elaborate on how we might get those weapons.

This was an amazing dlc I loved it!

This is the scene I saw in my play through. My level wasn't high enough to kill the mage after the ship crashed so I ran off to build up my character. I wonder if I missed out on a quest. The wedding partly you go to shortly after this cut scene was a lot of fun, one of the best quests I've played - great writing. Master Mirror is a very intriguing character. He reminds me of Little Finger from GOT in the first few seasons. You know he's many steps ahead of you and manipulating everything including you.

O'Dimn says he used his power and "associates" to fulfill Olgierd's wishes. Means he doesn't act alone. Also the cat and the dog demon have to know him well, the dog knows the answer to his riddle.

I wonder if Gaunter O'Dimm is really bound by the contract or just roleplaying for fun. He can see into the future, stop time (possibly travel), thinks magic is "child play", can see everyone (Ciri is apparently hidden from his "gaze" when she's in different dimension, but he might've lied), appear anywhere (not teleport like mages do, he just shows up)...

I'm new to The Witcher 3 (playing on Switch) and I've been fascinated by this character. I'd love to know what exactly he (or it) IS. He's like some sort of malevolent demi-god judging by the power he has at his disposal but then there must be beings with even greater power, otherwise surely he would just cause absolute havoc - and in the end he was bested by being outwitted with a riddle. So something else restricts his power.

This is a bit broken. I went to Olgierd first because it was a long time till midnight - so even the evening of the same day he told you to meet him at midnight, he complains if you go to Olgierd before the agreed meeting time.

Am i the only one that would love to have Gaunter O Dimm as the main antagonist for the next witcher? :D

I wonder what will happen if you immediately start "Envoy, Wineboys" quest then set a course to Toussaint after fled from Oferies and leave O'Dimm for good?
