Witcher 3 Signs REWORKED | Major Changes to Igni, Aard, Yrden and Quen

Whoever came up with the idea to give us a slow-mo moment when Aard obliterates enemies deserves a big raise.

As a former trial lawyer on both sides of the ambulance chasing divide, hearing the Morgan and Morgan ad just made my absolute day. Awesome.

I'm really wondering why this wasn't included in the patch notes? Changes like this is kind of important to know if you're used to the way it worked previously. Witcher 3 is an amazing game, but man they should really put more details in the patch notes if they're making big changes to core abilities and upgrades

I like the new update to Yrden. Especially when combined with the Griffin school gear. When you equip the full set, Yrden is larger, makes stamina regenerate faster, and allows you to cast two signs back to back as long as they’re within 3 seconds of each other. Helps a lot with groups of enemies. Especially arachnamorphs.

Man the only bad thing about your channel is that it does not have more videos. Something about your commentary and style of editing is just so satisfying and I could honestly watch your videos all day.

I think it would be great if you continued this series of videos about the hidden changes made. It is a shame that CDPR didn't include an exhaustive list, and thank you so much for cataloging these!

As a huge potion enthusiast I'd definitely love to watch a video about the changes made to potions.. just started a new playthrough and I did plan to focus on sword fighting this time around since it's something I haven't done before but with these changes I don't think I will

Thanks to these changes, Flood of Anger became an extremely strong perk, with it upgraded to the max you get to cast the shockwave aard perk with an increased intensity of 300% when at max adrenaline points, it enables me to play the euphoria build while still making pretty good use of signs. (this works with everything, if you have max adrenaline you can cast the active shield quen, make yirden traps, or cast firestream without having any of it unlocked)

I would love for you to cover something like that as I feel like you know your stuff and what's already on youtube is a bit lackluster, especially with hybrid types of builds (sword-sign build etc...). If we could hear your take on some witcher builds I know you'd find an excited audience! 🙏

I'd love to see a detailed guide on the changes to alchemy, especially the protection against foes of the same oil you use against them. Also great idea a video about the changes to runewright, like those useless runewords with Yrden, are they good now?

Would love to see a video on the changes to the runes as pre-update I never used them as I thought they were mediocre at best. So if they've made some meaningful changes, I'd like to know about that.

One of my favorite godlike builds was based on alchemy tree and potions so I would really like to know what changes were made in that regard. Also it would be fun to see some endgame build ideas with the new changes.

My build is focused on oils/potions/bombs because I liked Witcher 1 combat (in the sense you had to use everything at your disposal, prepare before each battle, etc). Would definitly love a video on the changes made to them!

I love all of these videos. So, anything covering the reworks are all of importance to me. I got very comfortable with the known and understood builds and mutations and runework because of all the years of playing this game since release. So, it's kinda fun to have to re-learn and rediscover what will now work in the next gen version. And you're showcasing changes and explaining things I'm not seeing anywhere else at all. I lean heavily into oils, and anything covering the changes to runeworks would be awesome. Also, that Morgan and Morgan sponsor portion was great. It was genuinely funny, fitting a channel about The Witcher, while still making me aware of the services they provide. If I need to find an injury attorney, I will know who to call. If only Dijkstra had known this when Geralt "shoved Dijkstra aside."

Any details on what the buff for cupping a feel of Sir Reginald's granite stones does in the new update? Used to give unlimited sprinting outside of combat for an hour, but that's the default now

GREAT info!! and for free!! holy shit, the work you had to do to make this video! I love the buffs to aard and yyrden (hate the nerfs) specially because of the newlly added witcher school armor set (netflix).

As I started my new playthrough I wanted to do a(almost full) sign build and at level 14/15 I really love the Petri's philter potion with which I can do pretty much 100% long duration knockdowns, I don't know how it was before but that's just what I figured out and my aard only has far reach for now

That Piercing Cold nerf really got me Got to the DLC yesterday and was excited to make the build I used to play back at 2017

I only started playing after the update, and only got Active Shield further on, so I didn't really notice what you'd mentioned but it's good to know for my second playthrough where I'm not going to invest in signs much

Great video, I know nothing about the signs and just guessing on which ones to increase. I use the fire one a lot and the trap one fighting certain enemies that's about it. A tutorial video would be much appreciated

I don't think the piercing cold update is that bad, it gives some point into investing in quick adrenalin gain. The potion Maribor Forest also gets much more attractive, since that quick adrenaline gain is now meaningful in this build as well. If you have razor focus and pop one Superior Maribor Forest, you would enter a fight with two adrenaline points and with increased gain, so you can reach 3 rather quickly. Don't really see this nerf as a problem at all.

Would really like a video on the runewright rework!

Been a long time since last I played this game, but I recall often building around Aard and using Piercing Cold. Kind of sucks how they nerfed that.

Please do make those other videos. Otherwise I can't know what's been changed without testing myself or going through all those mod descriptions, and I don't have that kind of patience. So I would appreciate any more videos that detail changes in the next gen update.

Do you know how sunder armor works in the next gen patch? It was never really clear if it was a debuff applied by heavy attacks that you could take advantage of with light attacks, or if it's heavy attacks only

Just curious, what were the changes to enchantments thst you mentioned at the end of the video? Also as a follow up question, did you notice if they fixed Hunter instinct? Before it capped at 20% extra damage, I wonder if they fixed it to actually be 10p
