Go to Limpopo to a place called Venda and get a stand in and around the area. You can build a beautiful house there for much less so that you can go there to rest every now and then. There you will be able to get oranges, mangoes, banana, lichee, avocadoes, right from the backyard☝🏾. Life down there is free of charge, the only thing you will pay for is electricity and your own food. We go home to venda and other homelands in December here in south Africa, that is why Johannesburg is usually less populated in december

Hey Asha. I enjoyed watching your videos. I have been to SA many times and fell in love with the country since my first visit in 2014. Manual (stick) shift is common in South Africa. I never driven a stick and only seen mother in the 80's driving her stick car when I was a child. This year I was in SA and rented a car with a stick shift. I tried and I wasn't successful 😂😂😂😂. I end up paying more for an automatic car. My accomplished my goals driving there in SA. At first I had to adjust to driving on the opposite side but it became easy and I had my SA friends i known for 10 years with me. You are certainly an inspiration for me. For one, I want to relocate to South Africa and hopefully start my own business. Your helps to show how to manage your money and still have enough to play. Hopefully in 10 years I will get this opportunity to relocate to SA. I have 8 more years left until I reach my 25 years of service in law enforcement and I can retire. My child will be an adult by then so I can be more freely to make this decision. Lol. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

I appreciate the information that you have provided on your budget. As you know, that’s the main reason why more of us haven’t traveled to the continent. hay there... love your videos... thank you for sharing.. places you can visit... for now in the jhb region.... maroepeng and sterkfontein caves in the cradle of human kind...(near the westrand) open weekends only. once a month they do star gazing as well , monte casino bird garden, try walter sisulu botanical gardens which sometimes has shows there if not, just walk around and view the waterfall and the nice coffee shop they have there. not expensive. just go visit the websites and see the places online 1st. near the gardens there is a casino not far... silverstar casino and they have fountains that are there which play to the music at night and also nice places to eat hope this helps and enjoy your journey, i will be watching you grow. you inspire me to be more no matter what age. love and blessings to you ❣💕
Oh! My lil cherry and I are great!...I just discovered some more cool features. It's not hard to stick to my budget. Having little to no debt makes it easier...2015 is when I got intentional and I've been doing it since.😊

Hi mam Asha, good to see you with the nomad family yesterday. I hear that inflation in food pricing is coming, but there's so much of a variety especially for someone who eats healthy like you. I'd recommend making friends if you haven't already with people who have family in Limpopo some of the best veg and fruit as well as chicken from small local farmers.

(If so, maybe include a link on one of your next videos just in case I can't find the channel.) Your car sounds like a great purchase and a great experience. I'm not sure that I would so easily be able to make the change to driving on the opposite side of the road. Was just using Uber a consideration in your decision to purchase your own car? Would Uber be cost prohibitive on your budget? Anyways, thanks for fully completing your monthly budget for us in this video.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiis I just saw the car and YES MA’AM! It’s beautiful from the inside out just gorgeous 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 chiiiile spa, hair, nails, foods, clubhouse you’re making it sound like a paradise in retirement. When I retire I just want to live out the rest of my days like this. Smiling and relaxed with little worry/stres. Kids and grandkids can visit but mama gotta go!!!! AND it’s a brown nation YES GAWD! Àse Doing the numbers I’ll have about 4,300 - 4,600!depending on how much more I contribute to my retirement/pension from calpers and deferred comp plans hopefully that’ll still be enough! It’s not the very near future but I definitely having to prepare type future LOL!

That's lovely that you got yourself a medical aid/ health insurance. Mine is also comprehensive but I pay way less with day to day as well. Savings and staff. $200+ is decent. You are covered unlimited Private Hospital with the best in the world. You are safe. Amazing. Nice that you are driving in SA on the left side. With the car you can go off roads and rural areas. Enjoy.

I had to follow you on all platforms. The USA just no longer feel like home, I too am from LA county (long beach) by way of Charleston SC and how expensive it is to live in both states is ridiculous. And L.A. county is beyond remedial LOL! Between race issues, inflation, goofy politics, the (career/work) called a rat race… chiiiiiiiile South Africa, Bali, Mexico, Sierra Leone, Tanzania all sound like heaven. All I do know it has to be a black or brown nation 😆 Enough about me and back to your wonderful informative video. What would the average down payment for a popular car there in SA like for a ranger or something simply. Also for living in a place like Sandton or Centurion?
I believe their financing system works similar to the US...don't quote me on that.🤷 In those areas, you could pay anywhere from 600 USD to 2000 USD. Honestly, I feel like living in SA is comparable to living in the south over California or New York.😊
As a African American living in South Africa, I get to feel that same level of safety, comfort and peace that a large portion of white America experiences living in the US.💕🌍💕

There is no restriction on foreigners purchasing land. You could purchase a stand (lot) in a new gated community or a small holding or even a game reserve or farm in the more rural areas.
Yes, for 1 person $731 was the rate I was given. This does not include dental or eye insurance. Additional we still have a deductible and copay. This is why they tie insurance to employment in the USA. Your employer may get a package and pay half the cost for you if it’s a decent company. If they are above average company they may pay whole amount for you.
