Wow! What a treat. I know what it means to be put through the "church" ringer myself. I was working today listening to A space called you and got a huge lump in my throat. You need to re-record it! I got some big chills and thought back how I grew up with y'all and want to let you know how you have inspired me to seek the Lord with all my might. You were there with me through it all. God bless y'all! Greg is an awesome player and can't wait to hear him playing with the big D!! Thanks for all the years! Love the big sound on the last two projects. Sound was so big that I can't tell you how many headphones that I've been through LOL!!!

I love seeing these two faces next to each other. I can't wait for Deliverance to play here in Florida later this year. I am also a HUGE Saviour Machine fan as well. We love you guys! Thanks so much for all you do! Godspeed!

I miss and love ya both, guys. Deeply praying for the Lord to work in you and 'push you'. Don't know if you remember, Eric, listening to a few of my old, darker stuff that Cynthia shared with you? You both have DEEPLY impacted my life for the Lord - and sometimes I wish I hadn't seen or read things in these ater years of 'easy information', but it does place me in a position to know how to pray for you each. Please take this as encouragement to press on in the Lord for a DEEP and DESPERATE discipleship and to absolutely humble yourselves to Him; glorifying HIM and mirroring Him. I have a million things to say to y'all, and I will make efforts to one day speak in person (huge dream of mine), but MERRY CHRISTMAS for now and may the Lord bless you in His WORD and His Truth. J

Still watching but loving it so far! The only thing is Eric is so soft spoken, he's difficult to hear at times haha Great stuff, regardless! Thanks for posting!

I remember the show on Orange County. It was at UCI Bren Center. Saviour Machine shocked everyone there.

I'm all for raising money to get the Eraserhead record done as well, I'd contribute I'm equally as excited about it. Manny and Knox have real chemistry with your writing.

Watching this 2yrs. later! Love Deliverance and Saviour Machine! Deliverance was my first speed metal band. Btw....love Greg! I still listen to Applehead and The Crü was my first punk band. Loved Scattered Few too. When people ask me if I'm a pre-triber etc, I say I'm an "whenever God chooses tribber." I think its ridiculous to focus on something like that. If you believe and do your best to follow everything else is meaningless or petty to argue about.

It’s really hard to understand Eric Clayton because his voice is so soft compared with Jimmy Brown. But thanks a lot for posting this. Very cool.

I picked up Saviour Machine's first album when it was on Massacre Records as Eric caused a serious shitstorm in Christian circles. Saviour Machine with their levels of controversies made Marilyn Manson look like a choir boy as for a Christian Metal band to that would have secular metalheads going "Holy shit where the fuck did that come from." Saviour Machine's impact was there with TOOL's Sober and their next album it's safe to say Eric is one of the most controversial artists in Christiandom as he had invoked a mystique that called to mind both Alice Cooper, Ozzy and James Hetfield with Fight Fire With Fire. I read the Book of Revelation first in the Bible and had the shit scared out of me when I saw all three Omen films as I had The Bible at bedside looking up the verses when the films concluded. What caught my attention with Saviour Machine would be as I developed my website as I had dark undertones addressing gang violence and warning against Vampire: The Masquarade. I took cues from New York Hardcore band Biohazard. I was invited to Halloween parties where they had actual witches at the party. Eric should had signed with Megaforce as he played at Wacken and appeared with Devin of Strapping Young Lad. He introduced Gothic Metal to Christian metal circles as he was one of the American pioneers of the movement along with Pete Steele :R.I.P. Pete: as Pete was a bit of a satirist with his lyrics. He caused a shitstorm with Roadrunner when he photographed his anus. Saviour Machine introduced Sabbath style riffing with Gothic Rock vocals and Savatage style piano work as some of the piano tracks called to mind Jon Oliva's work. When I heard Force of the Entity I said "Holy Fuck this is dark and artful." Stay of Execution was the Christian Metal ties bridging the gap between goth and thrash metal. I was getting into Gothic, Industrial and Doom metal around the same time as I wanted to combine the Goth elements with street thrash taking cues from Danzig's How The Gods Kill. (This album pissed off the religious circles with H.R. Giger's artwork on the cover. I wanted to get the rights to the artwork known as Piss Christ. When my website launched some of the reactions from holier-than-thou Christians were downright funny as I am a Christian who came up with extremely dark subject matter as I lived behind Wheaton College at the time -- these ideas formed from not being able to find the personel to form a heavy metal band. In Wheaton they took more cues from Bride and Whitecross -- they were scared fuckless of Slayer, Metallica, Danzig, Iron Maiden, and Circle of Dust.) There was no other band like Saviour Machine in the 1990s as Gothic Death/Doom was just being introduced in America from Chicago's Novembers Doom. Saviour Machine and Tourniquet (they invoked a shitstorm of controversy in Wisconsin when they were slated to play Milwalkee Metal Fest as Glen Benton of Deicide protested their appearance. Getting signed to Metal Blade was one of the smartest moves Tourniquet did as they cemented their cult status when they covered the legendary doom metal track The Tempter play it up like a Metallica track -- the pacing was akin to Battery on Master of Puppets. The original track had some fast riffing but it was slow and punishing as all of Tourniquet's fans wondered where it came from. Chicago fans knew right away as it was ties to Ted's dues in the 1980s as he paid his dues in Chicago clubs on The Run to the Light tour as my recent friend Ron Holzner confirmed Ted's connection to Chicago as Scott Davidson of Rebel Radio knew of him) introduced Gothicism to Christian Metal -- you were both quite ballsy to be dark. Saviour Machine had peers in the 2000s from Dark Symphonies Records (Rain Fell Within) as Believer had a disciple in a Chicago band named Empyrean Sky. I heard one of the tracks from Stay of Execution as it combined Pantera style groove metal with goth rock vocals. I handled gang vocals with friends Grigori 3 when they played Kindred live at U.S. Beer Company. Then I handled guest vocals with the band Alone as they pulled out Burn Fucker Burn at the Double Door where I had introduced a groove metal screamed vocal. Rinat got down from the stage and got in the crowd to get the audience to repeat the chorus back to her as I was near by as I used a hardcore bark akin to Troy of Lungbrush. I could never do Savior Machine covers because I would be afraid I would fuck up the delivery as I don't have operatic vocals. My Goth Metal vocals are akin to Pepper of COC and Danzig as I would do a Southern Metal range. Jimmy you should cover Danzig's Mother as that track caused a stir of protests from King James Onlyists as it was a middle finger track to Tipper Whore. Klayton (Circle of Dust) invoked a lot of controversy when he worked with Foetus and Tommy Victor as his profile grew to underground legend status when he co-wrote Controller. My love of thrash metal had got me cornered in different churches as I adopted a Gothic look when I was 19 as I showed up to church all in black with a crucifix around my neck. They thought I sold my sole to the Belial as I became a critic of the King James Only Movement, the ire of anger to the young earth creationism movement as I used references to H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu as who'd be eaten first as what they believe is like summoning the Great Old One as they believe dinosaurs were in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve. I invoked more ire when I pointed out I see the Adam and Eve narrative as allegorical as I am an Evolutionist who believes in God (I don't see Christianity as I did when I was 18-19 years old as I took a grittier approach as I created Writings From The Grave when I was 20.)
