I know how that stepper motor is. I had a grey market 120 Hitachi. I worked on for two days and run it for one. Best day of my life was seeing that pc210 2016 model get dropped off and the Hitachi leave.

Watching this brought a cringe for me remembering just how close I was to losing my foot stacking those killers . We were setting a wall and I was guiding the block when the block lift handle broke at about two feet in the air . The block dropped to the ground faster than I could move , thankfully I was about 10 inches away from where it landed . Seeing the melenial get under that block in the air actually made my stomach hurt .

Dirt Perfect job as usual 👍. You should get a seat cover for the deer before the foam starts popping out. The price they want for seats are ridiculous. A normal vehicle bucket seat cover fits. Also that squeal you have going on it is probably the bushing trying to spin in the boss. Worth taking apart to check to save you from Jason Works A lot doing some line boring 😬

Those are called casket blocks up here in Pa. and they are random at best for as far as being the same. We used to put a mastic( what you would use to join 2 sections of cement drainage pipe together) on the rib that is on the top to "glue" the next layer onto the bottom one. This served 2 purposes. 1. it blocked water from seeping out of the long joints in the wall. 2. it kind of helped level the upper course to match it with the lower course.

I would’ve had you put steps in going to the front door. That’s a huge difference in machines.

Well I was waiting for you to hit the mail box with that last two foot block!!! LOL My son has JD excavators I have ran them a fair bit. A good friend of his has a Volvo and HITACHI. I have ran them both and rank the JD first, Hitachi-second and the Volvo- third. Mainly the "feel" of the hydraulics, is the thing I noticed being very different.

Congratulations on finishing the wall! I built a similar wall and I intentionally put a lean on the blocks into the bank. Not much, maybe just where the level bubble is just touching the line. Then I put a layer of filter cloth behind the wall to allow water to pass thru but hold any soil particles back. Backfill with gravel like you did. Good idea to get a strong trailer for your dump truck. Saves a trip when you need to load and haul stuff. It takes some weight off the front axle so kinda tricky making sharp turns on slippery surfaces.

I drove a 2012 KW with 660HP. Engine was all built 13 spd Trany was built. Steerable tag axles. I could barely tell I had a trailer behind me. Pulling a Cat 330 excavator. I'd tuck the trailer off to the side and use the truck all day when done hook it back up later load machine and off I went. I liked to work by myself. Put my music on and I was all set

The way to get rid of shunk smell is hydrogen peroxide and baking soda and Dawn dish soap I've had to use it many times on my dogs and neighbors dogs be works great

A sweeper attachment would of been handy great job.

Just an idea Mr. DP. When ya gotta pour some gravel into a tight place between a concrete wall and dirt wall of the trench. Take a 3' × 8' piece of 1/2 inch plywood with the 1' left over strip on top of the concrete and use 4 2 X 4 pieces nailed to both so it's at a 45 degree angle on top of the concrete. The gravel will funnel into the hole instead of onto the concrete or the dirt beside the hole. You may have to modify that with blocks like those tho. Maybe not. To keep it from slipping back away from the hole nail two small pieces of plywood on each end so they stick down into the outside edge of the hole beside concrete.

Maybe? Those block are designed to lean back as the height increases?

4-1 bucket would really speed up the loader clean up work and really speed up grading jobs ..it would out work that D4 in a lot of situations

I could have sworn Captain Kleeman was the fit to use the 120 after you finished the final drive to dig chert at Logger Wade’s place. That missing lock pin on the track wouldn’t have done well if he had. I guess you just brought it back to your shop for the throttle issue and then he used it. Now that I think of it there was a set of track marks up the hill when he took it up and loaded it.

There are lots of things to like about your videos Mr. Mike, but it is most heartening to me to see that the years you have spent dealing with weather, equipment breakdowns, inevitable issues with customers and suppliers etc., and you still visibly strive to go the extra mile, do a good turn for folks where you can and struggle, when necessary, to always get and stay positive. The world can suck the goodness out of a guy but you seem to have found a secret hat most of us can only observe and admire. I surmise your folks, family and good wife must be at the root of your successful outlook; you really should write a book.

If I were the homeowner I would have had you set the left blocks so the inside edge was even with the edge of the garage foundation if the property line allowed and on the right side as close to the house bump out as possible to make it as wide of a opening as possible then pour concrete to widen the driveway pad.
