What’s up mate! quick question for the documents. I’ve got my certified copy of passport. I am with Westpac, will statement you get in your banking app enough or does it have to be somehow certified as well? Heading out of Australia today, and just about to post the documents.
As long as there is proof on the statement that it’s yours, e.g has your name/address on it that will be fine. It’s just the copy of the passport that needs verified. There should be instructions on the ato website when you’re submitting it
Yo bro, having the same issue being back in the UK now and not having had a proof of identity verified before I left... -_- You mention you had yours certified by a police officer; was that just a regular on the street officer or someone specific? Trying to figure out if I can get my mate who is an officer to certify it with his badge number and that or if I need to go to like a specific person in an embassy or something? Can't wait to have to pay international shipping because the Aus gov doesn't want to move into the 21st century.....

about the verification part is not true, as a member residing overseas, It must have to be verified through a person who has Australian connection. I don't think a police office in foreign country is qualified verify the documents. Are you able to complete the claiming process yet?

Hi Im applying for DASP Online but for some reason My Super fund told me they haven't receive yet any notice from ATO, as an alternativeThey told me to get a "visa cancellation notice." I have my immi account but I could not find on how to request that "visa cancellation notice" could you help me please...thanks in advance
I think if you look in the website you'll find that if you have more than 5k, you might get asked proof that there is current visa and you do that by sending a form to the ATO and after that you send everything else. The form is 1146 or something

I applied my DASP. it is suspended cos I am still in Australia. Do I need to verify my passport? cos when I submitted DASP system, there was no warning to verify my docs.
Yes you have to verify your passport by justice of peace. send your certified copy to your super before you leave and tell em you are going to apply for dasp application soon. Better to call your super they will give you more info. And only lodge dasp application when your visa is finished and you left Australia .
the verification of id step you discuss isnt clear at all mate. Is there a clause to having to do this cause there's no information as to why it's required on the ATO dasp description page
I’ve been 9 days since submitted the dasp form through ATO website, mine over $5000, my question is , who will contact me about the certified documents required? ATO or my super fund company ? Are they contact by email or call ? I’m still waiting and no idea , or just wait ? I didn’t prepare certifications before i left aussie, your feedback will be very helpful, thanks

When you say verify your identifications here in AU before moving out, may I know what’s the process of this? Is there a verification department here in AU that handles this?
@@vincentmendoza4880 at the police station. Yes it’s easier to get it done in Australia before you leave. Just scan your passport, go to the police and get them to stamp it

Is the process vía email when you are outside of Australia? I got my ID verify when I was there, but I brought it with me. So how it is supposed to post all the documents if you are out?

I have one doubt hopefully you would help me in clearing that I left Australian in Jan 2024, I submitted online DASP application in July, my fund is only 420$ .
