You are definitely not forgotten. For example, I was driving in a US city not long ago and here and there people have a Ukrainian flag flying in their yard. It was too many for anyone to disregard as all being Ukrainian. The path of the will of the people is not always a straight line in a democracy, but it's better than being without freedom.
