There's one with ex-Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen (What about us), Soul Asylum singer Dave Pirner (Whole world is watching) and even a rap/metal Fusion with rapper Xzibit (And we run) which is my favourite out of the 4.
This song is one of their heaviest and one of many collaborations they have done. So you're addicted and want more? LOL Back to the Beginning?? Restless was their first single. Ice Queen , from the 2nd album, was their breakthrough song, and my favorite. Mother Earth and Stand My Ground are other early songs. Other collaborations include Paradise (What About Us) with Tarja, And We Run with Xzibit, The Reckoning with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, and Shed My Skin with Annisokay.
I'm loving this song! I haven't heard a lot of Within Temptation but haven't found a song of theirs yet that I dislike. Howard conpliments her voice so very well, I always enjoyed him as the frontman for Killswitch Engage.
Wow I'm psyched I caught this right when you posted!!! I also love that your reading of the lyrics was so melodic and soft--I think you got a little bit of a shock when the music kicked in! This is quite a different side of Sharon than you've seen yet, huh? They love to experiment with new sounds and styles, so every one of their eras has something new and special about it. Also really loved that you read the interview bit! Sharon is an incredibly empathetic person, WT always puts so much thought into their lyrics and so many of them also include social messages/criticisms. I love Dangerous--the whole Hydra album is full of so many incredible collaborations. I love how the band shows so much respect for their music and when a song seems like it needs something extra, they find the person to give that. So ego-less, and from what I've seen everyone just loves working with them too. For sure their most famous collab is the song Paradise, which features the one and only Tarja Turunen (of both Nightwish and solo career fame ;) It's a fantastic one to check out, especially the live performances like M'era Luna which really show how much she and Sharon adore each other. Not sure if there are any print interviews, but there are two "making of" videos for the music video and photoshoot where they talk about the meaning of the song as well as other things! Btw, did you see that their new single came out today?? It's amazing, and the music video comes out next Wednesday, in case you wanted to put it on your list :D I know you said you might start from the beginning, but this is the fourth incredible single they've put out in the past to years, so maybe another option is to start with what they're up to now? In particular I really think The Purge, Shed My Skin, and the new one, Don't Pray For Me, stand together thematically. The fourth of the singles (though it actually came out first) is called Entertain You, and it's a bit unlike anything else they've done, but VERY fun.

Dear girl like you, I also love Sharon and her music. I would like to shake off this splendid illness and I confess that in some way Sharon herself is helping me given her latest performances which are quite indigestible for me... "bleed out" above all. If I may ask you can you put "the cross" or "deceiver of fools (live 2002)" I would be grateful so I'll cry a little too. Now you are moving into the really good stuff from Within Temptation! Its Jokke Sommer from Norway that starts off the video,you might hear the scandinavian accent very clearly lol. He is not only a skydiver but also a base jumper,and a motivational speaker. He is lecturing often in how to master your fear,this is not the fear of heights only,but on all sides in life. He is said to be the very best at what he does,Within Temptation seems to agree as they asked him to be a part of this 3 way collaboration. Howard Jones alongside Tommy Vext from Bad Wolves (now a solo artist due to the cancel culture) is said to be the most powerful male vocalists alive,alongside maybe Devin Townsend. Howard is know as the frontman from Killswitch Engage,and is now in Light the Torch. Howard did not leave Killswitch Engage in a dramatic way (they are all like brothers still),he had to step down due to a type 2 diabetes that ended up putting him in a 2-3 day coma. So when Within Temptation asked Howard for this collab/duet,it was written in the stars before the song was produced. LOL,yeah that was Jokkes crew at the end flocking around him. Adrenaline was flowing there! Faster,Shed My Skin or Paradise (What About Us?) ft. Tarja should be a nice follow up from this one *confident smirk* 😏😂Im kidding,im not THAT confident at all.
