Nightwish with Tarja in the "old days" is still the best there ever was... "Deep Silence", "10th Man down" and so on.......... But this is also awesome though! :)
@@PauleBeinlich Ouch, that hurts! Tarja was good in her Nightwish days and even better solo in my honest opinion. But the versatility of Floor and the emotion she puts in it, cannot be beaten. Tarja made all of the Nightwish songs sound operatic, something which I am not a fan of. But you may disagree of course 🙂
I've recently read some comments on a webzine by a girl stating that Sharon is just "the shadow of an artist" and she has always sung awfully 'cause she's never studied singing ... definitely, I think she's only envious. Sharon, you're awesome!
I thought Sharon's relative weakness would be exposed when she did the Paradise duet alongside Tarja, but she totally rose to the challenge. Since that day, I've never again underestimated her. Seeing her live on that tour only strengthened my appreciation for her vocals.
I saw another video live in Lowlands... I guess. She was terrible, some people said she was sick. And in this one she's much better. I think she was really sick that's why her voice wasn't good, but she's great! j
lol , has anyone considered that the 'second voice' or playback that u hears is actually a delay effect which is then mixed into the original signal to make the voice sound fuller and bigger ??
I've been listening to this awesome band all day at work. I'm obsessed with their sound. This is one of my favorites. I love the guitar solo in this video. I would love to see them live!
If it's playback, then why do you hear her clearly switch into head voice on the chorus's high note, when on the album she yells it in chest? Her voice in the low notes doesn't sound as processed as on the album either, they sound much more throaty here. And if it's playback, why is she outright FLAT on the low notes? Listen to the drum's snare too, it's really not the same sound as on the album version.
damn they sound good live. They are augmenting this live version with some backing vocals prerecorded however. Go to 3:34, she stops singing briefly but the audio plays still, albeit a lower volume.
+Tim Nelson Could be a delay on her voice . I have worked with bands who use that method. They capture the last word faster and then immediately play it back so she can sing of the back of it
I love these guys, I don't know why in a few live shows they have used these clips of cars in the back ground tho they should have stuck to the original theme of the album.
is not playback, in fact you can hear a flaw at 1:15 when she skip one chorus, that doble voice effect is a delay or echoe in the live play that can easily be made
